    • Diaz has three hits, three-run home run in loss
Yandy Diaz went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, and a three-run home run against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Diaz’ home run was his eighth of the season. His three-run shot in the seventh inning off Jacob Latz put the Rays on top 3-2. Diaz is hitting just .270 on the season, but has picked it up lately. He’s 42-for-133 (.315) over his last 31 games. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez diagnosed with right knee contusion
Yordan Alvarez is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a right knee contusion on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Twins after being plunked by a pitch on his right knee in his previous plate appearance. It appears to have been a precautionary measure though as the Astros won’t even have any imaging done on their 27-year-old slugger. There’s a chance that he gets Sunday off to be on the safe side, but Alvarez shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:20 pm

    • Has bruised knee
Alvarez was diagnosed with a right knee contusion Saturday and didn't go in for imaging, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez was hit in the knee by a pitch in the sixth inning of Saturday's game and although he stayed in to run the bases, he was later removed in the eighth inning. Considering he didn't need to undergo imaging, the 27-year-old should be viewed as day-to-day. However, with a team off day coming Monday, the Astros could opt to play it safe and hold Alvarez out of Sunday's series finale against Minnesota. Rotowire.com Today, 2:11 pm

    • Exits after HBP
Alvarez was removed from Saturday's game versus Minnesota after getting hit by a pitch, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez took a 94-mph fastball off his right knee during the sixth inning of Saturday's contest. He initially remained in the game to run the bases despite looking uncomfortable, and Grae Kessinger pinch hit for him during the eighth frame. Houston will presumably take Alvarez in for imaging, and the team should have more information on his injury in the near future. Rotowire.com Today, 1:41 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez (knee) exits after hit by pitch
Yordan Alvarez was removed from Saturday’s game against the Twins a couple of innings after he was plunked in the right knee by a pitch.

Advice: Alvarez remained in the game to run the bases for himself but was walking slowly and hobbling as he made his way to first base. When his spot in the order came back around in the eighth inning, Grae Kessinger was sent out to pinch-hit for him. The fact that the Twins had a six-run lead at the time may have played a role in his removal, but be sure to pay close attention to his status after the game and prior to Sunday’s contest. • Sets career high in homers
Naylor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Naylor had some dry stretches in June, but he's turned it around by going 9-for-24 (.375) with six RBI over his last six games. The first baseman set a career high with his 21st homer of the year. He's added 64 RBI, 50 runs scored, three stolen bases, 16 doubles and a .246/.323/.505 slash line over 82 contests. He started the year hot before a shaky May and slightly better June, so he could still find another level in the second half. Rotowire.com Today, 10:24 am

    • Getting breather Saturday
Morel isn't in the Cubs' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Morel has put together a three-game hitting streak, though he has also struck out six times in 12 at-bats over that span. He'll take a day to rest Saturday while David Bote fills in at third base, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 8:54 am

    • Josh Hader gives up grand slam before earning save
Josh Hader recorded his 15th save despite giving up a grand slam to one of the two batters he faced in the ninth Friday against the Twins.

Advice: Carlos Correa hit the slam to make it a 13-12 game, but Hader then struck out Manuel Margot to end it. The homer was the seventh allowed by Hader in 39 innings, but since none of the runners on base belonged to him, his ERA only slightly increased to 3.92. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • No-decision in Milwaukee debut
Civale allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Civale received a tough assignment in his first start as a Brewer, and he didn't do particularly well. Will Smith tagged him for two solo shots and Miguel Vargas added a two-run home run, though Civale exited the game in line for the win before the Brewers' bullpen blew the lead. The three homers allowed are a season high for the right-hander, and that could be a problem that crops up more since Milwaukee's American Family Field is more prone to homers than his old home park, Tropicana Field. Civale is at a 5.18 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 92:30 K:BB through 92 innings over 18 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:37 pm
