    • Throws light bullpen Friday
Munoz (back) threw a light bullpen session before Friday's game against the Royals per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, but the reliever did not appear in the contest.

Advice: Divish had noted there was a possibility Munoz would be available for the first time since exiting Tuesday's game against the Athletics, but it was Ryne Stanek who got the ninth-inning call and ultimately failed to protect a 9-7 lead. With Stanek having appeared in three of the last four games and having thrown 39 pitches in the last two nights, Munoz would certainly be in line for any high-leverage work Saturday if he's healthy enough to handle it. • Mendoza: Kodai Senga won’t return in first half
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed Saturday that Kodai Senga (shoulder) will not return prior to next month’s All-Star break.

Advice: It became apparent several weeks ago that Senga, who has been on the shelf since spring training due to a right shoulder issue, simply wasn’t making enough progress to return to New York prior to the All-Star break. The 31-year-old righty has been in a bit of a holding pattern working on his throwing mechanics and won’t progress to throwing a bullpen session until next week. Rotoworld Today, 7:44 am

    • Keeps slugging Friday
Diaz went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the seventh. He's gone yard in four straight contests, an impressive run of power after he went 39 games without a homer prior to this surge. The catcher is at a .258/.285/.416 slash line, seven long balls, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests. With Kyle Tucker (lower leg) going on the injured list Friday, Yordan Alvarez has seen more time in the field, giving the Astros the option of moving Diaz to designated hitter rather than having him at catcher full-time in the short term. • Abrams steals ninth base, scores run in win Friday
CJ Abrams went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base against the Braves on Friday.

Advice: Abrams’ steal was his ninth of the season. After racking up 47 steals last year, fantasy managers sure would like to see him run more this year. The double was also nice to see as Abrams continues to hit better and for more power than most people expected when he was a prospect. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Santander crushes 13th home run in win Friday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Santander’s 13th of the season and came against Rays starter Aaron Civale. While his average is a little lower than he’d like it to be this year at .227, the power is still there for Santander. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:50 pm

    • Andrés Muñoz throws, could be available out of pen
Andrés Muñoz threw before Friday’s game and might be available to pitch against the Royals.

Advice: Muñoz has been unavailable since tweaking his already sore back on a collision at home plate during Tuesday’s game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:53 pm

    • Throwing off flat ground
Snell (groin) began throwing off flat ground Friday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The plan is for him to begin mound work at some point next week. It's still unclear if the 31-year-old southpaw will be able to return from the IL when eligible June 18, but some clarity may come once Snell has thrown a few bullpen sessions. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:29 pm

    • Senga to throw bullpen next week
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is set to throw a bullpen session early next week, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

Advice: The Mets believe the 31-year-old right-hander is trending in the right direction. A bullpen session would represent significant progress, though Senga is still without a clear timetable for returning. He’s been out all season recovering from a shoulder injury. • Reaches four times, homers
Betts went 2-for-4 with two walks, a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 11-7 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Betts' three-run blast capped off a six-run fifth inning for the Dodgers and plated Miguel Vargas and Austin Barnes. Prior to Thursday's outburst, Betts had gone 1-for-24 (.042) across six games. Despite the minor cold spell, he owns the ninth-best OPS in MLB at .923 with 10 homers and nine stolen bases.
