Wade is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Wade has gone 3-for-13 with a double and a solo homer in three games since returning from the injured list, but he will take a seat for Wednesday's contest as southpaw Chris Sale starts for Atlanta. David Villar will man first base and bat sixth for the Giants. Rotowire.com Today, 2:42 pm

    • Josh Jung won’t return until after All-Star break
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters on Wednesday that Josh Jung (wrist) will be shut down until next week to rest his injured wrist.

Advice: The Rangers are hopeful that after resting for a few days that he’ll be ready to go out on a minor league rehab assignment. While it’s not a major setback, it does mean that Jung won’t rejoin the Rangers until after the All-Star break. Fantasy managers will have to continue practicing patience in the meantime. • Resting Wednesday
Jeffers isn't in the Twins' lineup for Wednesday's game versus Detroit.

Advice: Jeffers and Christian Vazquez continue to alternate starts behind the plate, with Wednesday marking Vazquez's turn to catch. Jeffers went 0-for-4 with an RBI during Tuesday's win, leaving him hitless in eight at-bats over his last two contests. Rotowire.com Today, 2:37 pm

    • Out through All-Star break
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Jung will be shut down until next week to allow his right wrist to rest, and the third baseman will not return until after the All-Star break, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Jung had his swing test Saturday cancelled due to soreness in his right wrist. While a specialist confirmed that there is no structural damage, the lingering pain has kept Jung from swinging a bat since June 20. The hope for Jung is that the extended rest will allow the pain in his wrist to subside long enough to resume swinging a bat before ramping up through a rehab assignment. The 26-year-old appeared in just four games at the beginning of the season before sustaining a fractured right wrist due to being hit by a pitch in early April. Rotowire.com Today, 2:33 pm

Johnson isn't in the Padres' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

    • Progressing, could play Wednesday
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Seager (wrist) is feeling "a lot better" and will talk with the shortstop to see if he's doing well enough to play Wednesday against the Padres, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 30-year-old is currently absent from Texas' starting nine for Wednesday's contest, but there's apparently a chance he's a late addition to the lineup. Regardless of whether or not Seager ends up starting the game, it's an encouraging development for his availability going forward. Rotowire.com Today, 2:26 pm

    • Harrison Bader (neck) held out of lineup Wednesday
Harrison Bader (neck) was held out of the Mets’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Bader was pulled from Tuesday’s game as a precautionary measure after he crashed awkwardly into the wall in right-center field. He’s going to test things out pregame on Wednesday to determine whether or not he’ll be available off of the bench. He should still be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 2:20 pm

Advice: Berroa will move up to the Jays' 26-man roster with Justin Turner placed on the paternity list Wednesday. In his four minor-league outings since being optioned down to Buffalo on June 25, Berroa has gone 4-for-13 with five runs, three walks, one home run and five RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

    • Sitting versus lefty
Marsh is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Southpaw Shota Imanaga is taking the mound Wednesday for Chicago, and the lefty-hitting Marsh will head to the bench. Johan Rojas will start in center field and bat eighth in Marsh's place. Rotowire.com Today, 2:18 pm
