    • Locks down 21st save
Suarez struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Suarez went a week without an appearance, so he was fresh Wednesday. He needed just 14 pitches (10 strikes) to get the last four outs of this victory, which resulted in his 21st save in 22 chances this year. The Padres' closer has been dominant with a 1.05 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 32:6 K:BB over 34.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:55 pm
    • Strikes out eight in quality start
Imanaga allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies.

Advice: Imanaga held his own versus a tough opponent, though he allowed home runs to Rafael Marchan and Alec Bohm. This was Imanaga's fourth quality start in his last five outings, the exception being a 10-run anomaly versus the Mets on June 21. The southpaw is now at a 3.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 92:15 K:BB through 91 innings over 16 starts this season. He's projected for another challenging opponent next week when he's lined up to for a road start in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm

    • Robert Suarez works four-out save against Rangers
Robert Suarez shut the Rangers down with two strikeouts across 1 1/3 innings to earn the save on Wednesday.

Advice: Suarez’s magnificent season continued in this one as he eviscerated the Rangers with his blazing fastball and changeup. This was by far the most he’s used his changeup in a single outing at 43% and it seemed to surprise the Rangers. It was a nice wrinkle as Suarez has thrown his four-seam fastball almost 80% of the time so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm
    • Yields three runs in loss
Hicks (4-5) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings, taking the loss versus Atlanta on Wednesday.

Advice: Hicks is winless in his last eight outings, going 0-4 with a 5.02 ERA in that span. He's walked multiple batters in six of those starts, though Wednesday was the fourth time in that span that he's avoided giving up a home run. Hicks is at a 3.47 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 82:35 K:BB through 90.2 innings over 18 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start at home against one of his former teams, the Blue Jays. • Shota Imanaga strikes out eight in no-decision
Shota Imanaga struck out eight and yielded three runs over six innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Phillies.

Advice: Imanaga was cruising along early before giving up a solo homer to Phillies backstop Rafael Marchán in the third inning and a two-run blast to All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm in his final frame of work. He generated 13 swinging strikes and finished with a 28 percent CSW. He’ll carry a sparkling 3.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 92/15 K/BB ratio across 91 innings (16 starts) into a tough road tilt against the Orioles on Tuesday in his penultimate outing prior to the All-Star break. • Daulton Varsho with two hits, RBI for Blue Jays
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Wednesday against the Astros.

Advice: The Blue Jays once again shook up their lineup and Varsho landed in the fifth spot with George Springer back to lead-off and Bo Bichette fourth. Regardless, it still could not spark their struggling offense. Varsho briefly got his average back above the Mendoza-line before it sunk back to .199. He and nearly every Blue Jays’ hitter has been a disappointment this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Anthony Volpe snaps out of cold spell with two RBI
Anthony Volpe smacked a two-run double on Wednesday in the Yankees’ loss to the Reds.

Advice: Volpe got New York on the scoreboard in the seventh inning with a two-run double off Cincinnati starter Andrew Abbott. It wasn’t all positive for the young shortstop as he grounded into a key double play in the ninth inning to squash any hope of a Yankees rally against Reds stopper Alexis Díaz. The 23-year-old shortstop has been struggling the last few weeks, batting .212 (29-for-137) with zero homers and only four steals over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm

    • Jordan Hicks solid, loses touch in fifth inning
Jordan Hicks allowed three earned runs across five innings on Wednesday against the Braves. He allowed eight hits and two walks while striking out six in defeat.

Advice: Four of the eight hits the Braves got off Hicks came with two outs in that fifth inning when the lineup turned over for a third time. The inning could have been worse if Austin Riley hadn’t been thrown out at the plate. Still, it was nice to see Hicks’ sweeper induce 10 swings-and-misses as he leaned on that pitch instead of his splitter. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:58 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Conforto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: As per usual, Conforto will retreat to the bench with a southpaw (Chris Sale) on the mound. Luis Matos, Heliot Ramos and Austin Slater will fill the outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:39 pm
