    Tyler Nevin walloped a two-run homer on Thursday, powering the Athletics to a 3-1 victory over the Yankees.

    Advice: Nevin went deep off Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes in the third inning for his first round-tripper of the season. It wound up being enough run support for Oakland starter Alex Wood and a quartet of relievers, who combined to limit New York’s lineup to just one run in an impressive victory.     Advice: Devers produced a second consecutive three-hit effort after missing five games with a knee injury. He's 6-for-9 with a double, home run, two RBI and two runs scored in his two games back.     Advice: Caminero returned to minor league game action last week from a left quad strain, so his departure is a bit concerning since it came immediately following a fourth-inning double.     Smith started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Seattle.

    Advice: Smith launched his first homer of the season in the fourth inning, which tied the game momentarily before the Mariners plated two a half-inning later. He got the start at shortstop while primary starter Corey Seager served as DH a day after he left a game with a bruised shin. If Seager is limited to DH for a bit, Smith will be the primary fill-in at short. If Seager is ready for a defensive role, then Smith will go back to sharing third base with Ezequiel Duran.     Advice: Montero blasted his first homer of the season with a two-run shot off Randy Vasquez. The 25-year-old has not been a useable fantasy option over the first month of the season, as even with the roundtripper he’s slashing an unhealthy .236/.288/.306 over 73 at-bats.     Ha-Seong Kim hit a two-run homer Thursday against the Rockies while going 1-for-4.

    Advice: Kim swatted a two-run homer in the third inning, and it’s the fourth homer of the season for the shortstop. The 28-year-old has shown some pop in the early portion of the season, and he’s also added seven stolen bases for good measure.     Advice: Smith picked up one of two homers the Rangers hit off of Luis Castillo, and his was a solo shot that tied the game at 2-2.   • Luis Urías hits go-ahead homer as M’s top Rangers
    Luis Urías hit a go-ahead two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 4-2 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

    Advice: With the score tied at 2-2, Urías swatted a two-run blast off Andrew Heaney to give Seattle a 4-2 lead and ultimately the victory. It’s the second homer of the season for the 26-year-old, and he’s now posting a respectable .803 OPS.   • José Ramírez drives in four in win over Red Sox
    José Ramírez went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a steal in a win over the Red Sox on Thursday.

    Advice: Ramirez crushed a second-inning pitch from Chase Anderson 384 feet at 107.8 mph off the bat for his fifth home run of the season. He’s now slashing .260/.271/.471 on the season with 23 RBI and three steals. Ramirez has been hyper-aggressive this season, raising his chase rate and his overall swing rate by 10 percent. As a result, he has just a two percent walk rate and is making less hard contact than he did last year. He still makes an elite amount of contact, but you do have to wonder if the increased aggression will make it harder for him to reach that .280-.300 batting average that we’re used to seeing.
