• Belts fifth long ball in victory
Conforto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run Monday in a 5-2 win against the Mets.

Advice: Conforto scored San Francisco's first run after singling in the second inning, and he accounted for the team's final tally with a solo shot to right field in the sixth. The performance snapped a nine-game stretch during which the veteran batted just .171 and failed to register a multi-hit effort. Despite that cold snap, Conforto has started the season well, posting a .271/.311/.506 slash line with five homers, 16 RBI and 13 runs through 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago
  • Homers, swipes bag in loss
Adell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a stolen base Monday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Adell produced the Angels' first run with a solo homer in the seventh inning. He then helped in the team's attempt to try to rally in the ninth, leading off the frame with a hit-by-pitch, advancing to second on a single and subsequently stealing third, though he was ultimately stranded there. Adell continues to receive sporadic playing time -- this was just his second start in the Angels' past six contests -- but he's done well when on the field, slashing .281/.314/.531 with two home runs, five RBI, seven runs and six steals through 35 plate appearances. • Continues early-season success
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Angels in a 4-2 win Monday.

Advice: Cowser accounted for Baltimore's final run with a seventh-inning solo shot off Reid Detmers. It was the young slugger's sixth long ball of the campaign and his second in as many games. Cowser looked lost facing major-league batting for the first time last season, posting a .115/.286/.148 slash line with a 28.6 percent strikeout rate over 77 plate appearances. He's turned things around dramatically to start this season, however, recording a .364/.400/.800 slash line along with 12 extra-base hits, 10 runs, 17 RBI and three thefts through 60 plate appearances. • One hit in return
Doyle went 1-for-3 Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Doyle missed one game due to a chest injury, though his absence turned out to be short-lived. He hit seventh in the order and now has at least one hit in five of his last six starts. Overall, Doyle has maintained an impressive .291 batting average across 84 plate appearances, though he's still striking out at a 31 percent clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm
  • Colton Cowser gets start versus lefty, homers
Colton Cowser homered in a second straight game Monday against the Angels.

Advice: Since the Orioles were facing a lefty, Cowser might have been on the bench for this one had Austin Hays been healthy. As is, he made his second start versus a southpaw and hit his second homer off one when he took Reid Detmers deep in the seventh. He’s at .364/.400/.800 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:44 pm
  • Mark Canha homers, knocks in two in win over Rays
Mark Canha went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two RBI and scored two runs in Monday’s 7-1 win against the Rays.

Advice: Canha got the scoring started in the first frame when he hit a sinker from Zack Littell high in the zone that had 38 degrees of launch angle and went about six or seven rows deep into left field. In the fifth inning, the 35-year-old took advantage of another high pitch from Littell and dropped an RBI single into shallow left field to extend the Tigers’ lead to five. He only has a .247 batting average but he’s coming up clutch when men are on base with a .875 OPS — which if the season ended today, would be his highest mark since the 2018 season when he was with Oakland. There’s plenty of baseball to be played, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect this type of consistent output, but it’s encouraging nonetheless. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 pm

  • Jackson Merrill goes 2-for-3, drives in run
Jackson Merrill singled twice and drove in one of the Padres’ three runs Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Merrill made it a 3-1 game with a grounder in the eighth that really should have been handled by Ryan McMahon at third. Of course, it was ruled a hit anyway. Merrill’s MLB career is off to a nice start, as he’s hitting .317/.378/.415 in 90 plate appearances. Statcast thinks his average should be a little lower, but it also believes his slugging percentage should be higher, since he has six barrels and just one homer. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:18 pm
  • Set for Tuesday promotion
Kjerstad is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Kjerstad could have difficulty seeing consistent playing time amongst a talented Baltimore roster, but he figures to get chances in the DH slot as well as in the corner outfield spots when his name is listed on the lineup card. Kjerstad has been mashing with the Tides, slashing .349/.431/.744 with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, one stolen base and 25 runs in 86 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm
  • Andrew McCutchen has three hits, homers in win versus Brewers
Andrew McCutchen went 3-for-4 with a solo home run against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: McCutchen wasted no time to get his second home run of the season. He was able to get contact on Joe Ross’ slider and sent it directly into center field in the first frame. The 37-year-old veteran hasn’t been much value to fantasy managers given his 36% strikeout rate and platooning as a designated hitter this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
