  • Drury smacks 28th homer in blowout win Sunday
Brandon Drury went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Drury was white-hot when the Padres traded for him at the training deadline. He quickly ordered a grand salami in his first game in San Diego but his bat went cold. However, the 30-year-old has put together a four-game hit streak as the Padres defeated the Rockies on Sunday. The Padres have a tough week as they look to secure their playoff spot as they face the Dodgers and White Sox next week at home in San Diego. 47 minutes ago

  • McMahon goes yard in loss to Padres Sunday
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-5 with a solo homer Sunday in a loss to the Padres.

Advice: McMahon gave the Rockies a fighting chance to win the game with a 439-foot blast to center field to give the Rockies two runs against the Padres. It wasn't enough and the Rockies lost their last home game of the season 13-6 to the visiting Padres. The 27-year-old has been decent this year and is hitting .246/.329/.415 with 19 homers across 501 plate at-bats. Today, 4:05 pm

  • Rougned Odor plates two runs in Orioles' loss
Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles on Sunday in the Orioles' extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Advice: Odor came through with a game-tying RBI single off Astros reliever Ryne Stanek in the eighth inning and also extended the contest with another game-tying hit against Héctor Neris in the 10th inning. Unfortunately, the Orioles were unable to rally a third time and suffered a tough loss, falling four games behind the Mariners for the final American League Wild Card playoff spot. Today, 3:02 pm

  • Romy Gonzalez goes 0-for-3, fans twice
Romy Gonzalez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in the loss to the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: Even worse was that Gonzalez threw wide of first place on a double-play ball in a 1-1 game in the eighth, opening the door for the Tigers to score three runs. This one certainly won't help his case for playing time the rest of the way. Today, 2:30 pm
  • CJ Abrams has three hits, steal in Nationals' win
CJ Abrams went 3-for-4 with an RBI and also stole a base on Sunday in the Nationals' win over the Marlins.

Advice: Abrams tallied three hits and picked up his fourth theft of the season in another strong effort for the rebuilding Nationals. The 21-year-old shortstop has also played excellent defense over the last few weeks and appears to be settling in as the team's shortstop of the future. He's still far away from being a reliable fantasy contributor, but he's showing some promising signs at the dish lately. Today, 2:27 pm

  • Donovan Solano (eye) held out of action on Sunday
Donovan Solano (eye) was held out of the Reds lineup on Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Solano wound up missing all three games against the Brewers over the weekend due to an eye infection. There's still no clear timetable on when he may be ready to return to the lineup. Matt Reynolds started in his place at first base on Sunday afternoon. Today, 2:06 pm

  • Ramón Urías sits with neck spasms again on Sunday
Ramón Urías was held out of the Orioles lineup once again on Sunday due to neck spasms.

Advice: While Urías was able to return to the Orioles lineup on Saturday, the neck issue continues to bother him and it sounds like he's going to miss at least a couple of games. Rougned Odor started in his place at second base for Sunday afternoon's tilt against the Astros. Today, 1:46 pm

  • David Fletcher (hand) begins taking swings
David Fletcher (hand) has resumed taking swings over the past few days.

Advice: Fletcher has been sidelined since September 10 after he was hit by a pitch on his right hand and diagnosed with a contusion. It sounds like he may just be able to make it back into the lineup before the regular season concludes. The 28-year-old has hit .259/.296/.349 with two homers and 15 RBI in 201 plate appearances on the season. Today, 1:40 pm

  • Taylor Walls doubles on Sunday in return for Rays
Taylor Walls went 1-for-4 with a double on Sunday in his return to the Rays' lineup.

Advice: Walls started at second base and eventually slid over to shortstop in the wake of Wander Franco's injury in his return to Tampa Bay's lineup following a two-game absence due to right groin tightness. Today, 1:22 pm
