• Drury smacks 28th homer in blowout win Sunday
Brandon Drury went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI against the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Drury was white-hot when the Padres traded for him at the training deadline. He quickly ordered a grand salami in his first game in San Diego but his bat went cold. However, the 30-year-old has put together a four-game hit streak as the Padres defeated the Rockies on Sunday. The Padres have a tough week as they look to secure their playoff spot as they face the Dodgers and White Sox next week at home in San Diego. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 6:23 pm

  • Juan Yepez collects two hits Sunday in loss to LAD
Juan Yepez went 2-for-3 with a walk and run scored in a loss to the Dodgers Sunday.

Advice: The Cardinals bats were pretty cold Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles. They managed to connect with seven hits but one lone batter crossed home plate. Since being recalled on September 24, Yepez has been seeing regular playing time. He could be a sneaky pickup for fantasy managers in the last scoring period of the year. • J.D. Davis swats homer in victory over D-Backs
J.D. Davis went 4-for-5 with a double and solo homer as the Giants took down the Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.

Advice: Davis had no trouble against rookie Drey Jameson on Sunday. After singling in the first inning, he connected with a double but was left stranded in the top of the third inning. He would then smash another double in the top of the sixth inning before clobbering a ball 409 feet to right-center field off Diamondbacks reliever Mark Melancon, to give the Giants a two-run cushion in the top of the ninth inning. Davis has not been in the Giants' starting lineup regularly since being traded in August but hopefully, his output today will give him more everyday at-bats down the stretch. • McMahon goes yard in loss to Padres Sunday
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-5 with a solo homer Sunday in a loss to the Padres.

Advice: McMahon gave the Rockies a fighting chance to win the game with a 439-foot blast to center field to give the Rockies two runs against the Padres. It wasn't enough and the Rockies lost their last home game of the season 13-6 to the visiting Padres. The 27-year-old has been decent this year and is hitting .246/.329/.415 with 19 homers across 501 plate at-bats. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:05 pm

  • Manny Machado slugs 30th homer Sunday vs. Rockies
Manny Machado hit his 31st homer and also walked on Sunday in the Padres' loss to the Rockies.

Advice: With this latest round-tripper, Machado has driven in more than 100 runs for the third time in his career. With how stacked the Padres offense is, there should be a few more before he hangs up his cleats. He is slashing .299/.370/.537 across 611 plate appearances this year. • Hunter Dozier goes 3-for-3, knocks in two
Hunter Dozier went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a walk against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: It's Dozier's first multi-RBI game since July 6, which is pretty incredible considering that his only major league skill is his occasional ability to hit for power. Dozier is batting .240/.298/.387 for the year, and while that's hardly the worst line in the league, it makes him one of the game's worst players after factoring in his defense and baserunning. In spite of his struggles, he'll be back with the Royals next year, as his four-year, $25 million deal runs through 2024. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:18 pm

  • Rougned Odor plates two runs in Orioles' loss
Rougned Odor went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles on Sunday in the Orioles' extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Advice: Odor came through with a game-tying RBI single off Astros reliever Ryne Stanek in the eighth inning and also extended the contest with another game-tying hit against Héctor Neris in the 10th inning. Unfortunately, the Orioles were unable to rally a third time and suffered a tough loss, falling four games behind the Mariners for the final American League Wild Card playoff spot. • Patrick Wisdom homers, steals base in Cubs' win
Patrick Wisdom walloped a three-run homer and also stole a base on Sunday, powering the Cubs to an 8-3 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Wisdom broke a scoreless tie with a three-run moonshot to center field off Pirates lefty reliever Manny Bañuelos. It was his 25th round-tripper of the season. He also notched his eighth stolen base of the year in this one. He's a bit of a one-dimensional slugger, but his ability to pop the occasional homer and also steal a couple bases will keep him relevant for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. • Donovan Solano (eye) held out of action on Sunday
Donovan Solano (eye) was held out of the Reds lineup on Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Solano wound up missing all three games against the Brewers over the weekend due to an eye infection. There's still no clear timetable on when he may be ready to return to the lineup. Matt Reynolds started in his place at first base on Sunday afternoon. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 2:06 pm
