• Records steal in win
Espinal started at third base and went 0-for-2 with two walks, a steal and a run scored in Friday's 9-6 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Espinal's stolen base was his sixth in 38 games played, tying a career high he had in 2021 (92 games) and 2022 (135 games) while with the Blue Jays. The Reds tend to be aggressive on the basepaths, and Espinal has taken advantage of more playing time than was expected when the team acquired him late in spring training. • Jon Berti likely IL bound with calf injury
Jon Berti suffered a calf injury during Friday’s game and likely will go on the injured list.

Advice: The Yankees could bring DJ LeMahieu back from his rehab early with Berti out, but that’s not the current play. Perhaps Oswald Peraza will get the call. Oswaldo Cabrera will play third base until LeMahieu is activated early next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:27 pm

  • Pops third homer
Triolo went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Friday against Atlanta.

Advice: Triolo has struggled at the plate for much of the season, though Friday's long ball was his second in his last seven games. He's also hit .280 with four runs scored and six RBI in that span. So long as Ke'Bryan Hayes (back) is sidelined, Triolo should remain the primary starter at third base for Pittsburgh. • Drives in four
Gonzales went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, four RBI and a run scored Friday against Atlanta.

Advice: Gonzales has swung the bat well since being recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis, and he is currently in the midst of a five-game hitting streak. In that span, he's gone 8-for-20 with seven RBI and three runs scored. He's been locked into the fifth spot in the order and should be the Pirates' everyday second baseman for the foreseeable future. • David Hamilton goes 3-for-4 in Boston’s loss
David Hamilton collected three hits and knocked in one of Boston’s two runs Friday against the Brewers.

Advice: Hamilton has definitely been a little better than expected with the bat, hitting .261/.320/.435 with two homers and five steals in 75 plate appearances. He might be a sneaky mixed-league play for teams in need of steals, though next week isn’t great for him; the Red Sox will be facing two teams in Baltimore and Detroit that are quite a bit above average in preventing steals. • Three hits in win
Altuve went 3-for-5 with one run scored in Friday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Altuve went 0-for-9 over his previous two games, which marked the first time he'd been held hitless in consecutive contests all year. Friday's effort was his seventh three-hit effort of the campaign. The second baseman's consistency atop the Astros' order is a positive, though he hadn't produced a multi-hit effort since May 5. The 34-year-old is slashing .298/.354/.476 with nine home runs, 18 RBI, 33 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 50 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:09 pm

  • Pops fourth homer
Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, one RBI, and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Rengifo opened the game's scoring by popping a 413-foot solo shot in the bottom of the first. The switch-hitting Angel has been hot since returning from an illness on May 17, hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two homers, three steals, four runs scored and five RBI. Overall, Rengifo is slashing .322/.374/.504 in 132 plate appearances while playing every day at second or third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:56 pm

  • Goes yard in win
Torres went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-0 win over the Padres.

Advice: Torres has gone 12-for-45 (.267) over his last 12 contests, adding three homers and eight RBI in that span. The second baseman started the year slow, but he's come around over the last couple of weeks while retaining a near-everyday role. For the season, he's slashing .221/.298/.318 with four homers, 15 RBI, 25 runs scored, seven doubles and four stolen bases over 219 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:49 pm
  • Luis Rengifo doubles and homers in loss to CLE
Luis Rengifo doubled and homered in a loss Friday to the Angels.

Advice: Rengifo also singled. The 27-year-old took Logan Allen deep in the first inning, and the three-reach game now has his slash looking healthy at .322/.374/.504. Rengifo has been up-and-down for the majority of his MLB career. Right now he’s on the right side of that. There’s reason to believe it won’t last for much longer, respectfully.
