    Maikel Garcia went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts on Wednesday in the Royals’ win over the Marlins.

    Advice: Yikes. Garcia’s latest hitless effort leaves him with a .174 (21-for-121) batting average with zero homers and six steals over his last 30 games.     Advice: Stott came around to score every time he reached base in Wednesday's win. The three runs tied a career high, and he added his 20th stolen base of the season. His 20 swipes are the third most stolen bases in the National League behind Elly De La Cruz and Brice Turang.   • Bryson Stott scores three times in win over Tigers
    Bryson Stott doubled, walked, stole a base and scored three runs on Wednesday afternoon as the Phillies triumphed over the Tigers.

    Advice: Stott started the fourth inning by working Keider Montero for a walk and then rode home on Brandon Marsh’s two-run blast. He then doubled the following inning and scored on a two-run single off the bat of Marsh. Stott also reached on a fielder’s choice in the eighth, swiped second base and scored on a sacrifice fly by David Dahl. The Tigers may not be adhering to a strict platoon at shortstop between McKinstry and the righty-hitting Ryan Kreidler, as McKinstry has now sat in three of Detroit's last five matchups with righties.     Garcia went 0-for-2 with two steals, two walks and one run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins.

    Advice: Garcia drew a second consecutive start at the keystone and stole two bases in the first inning after leading off with a walk. The 24-year-old has struggled mightily in June, as he entered the contest slashing .145/.211/.169 with no homers and four steals across 90 plate appearances. The Kansas City infield became more crowded with CJ Alexander debuting and Michael Massey (back) returning from the injured list Monday (though Massey will serve as DH for now), so Garcia will have to start producing at the plate and on the basepaths to maintain a starting role.
