Despite taking his third loss of the season, Anderson has actually been a solid arm for the Angels early in the campaign and is yet to allow more than three runs in a start.     Advice: Kremer shut out the Angels over the first five innings before surrendering a solo homer to Mike Trout in the sixth, followed by a single to Nolan Schanuel, which would lead to the right-hander being relieved by Jacob Webb. Kremer dominated Los Angeles' lineup with his four-seamer throughout the day while matching his career high with 10 strikeouts.     Advice: Manaea struck out the side in the first inning but got himself into trouble in the second after giving up two walks and a single to open the frame. Fortunately for the right-hander he was still able to work his way out of it without seeing any runs come home, while also working his way through a similar jam in the third. Manaea issued a season-high four walks in the contest and has surrendered multiple walks in all five of his outings so far to open the campaign.     Advice: Blach tossed an inning in relief in his season debut debut Monday, so it was a bit of a surprise to see him go five frames and throw 76 pitches two days later. The left-hander looked like he could be headed for an early exit after giving up four first-inning runs, but to his credit, he finished off his outing with four straight scoreless frames. It's unclear how Blach will be used by the Rockies moving forward -- last season, 13 of his 20 appearances for the team came in a starting role, while he made just one start across 24 outings in 2022.     Waldron (1-2) earned the win against Colorado on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

    Advice: Waldron gave up a season-high five runs against Toronto in his last start, but he bounced back nicely Wednesday to earn his first win of the season. The knuckleballer didn't seem to have any trouble with his primary pitch in the Colorado altitude, as the Rockies managed a modest four hits against him.     Miller (3-2) took the loss against Texas on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five batters over four-plus innings.

    Advice: Miller made it through three scoreless frames before the Rangers got to him for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. The right-hander did come back out to the mound for the fifth frame, but he was pulled after issuing a leadoff walk, having thrown 83 pitches to that point. Miller's three-game quality start streak was thus snapped, as was his three-game win streak.     Advice: Gray pitched well as a starter four days after making a surprise 1.2-inning relief appearance against Atlanta, but he was pulled with two runners on base and two outs in the fifth after having thrown 92 pitches. Texas was up 2-1 at the time, so the ill-timed hook cost him a chance at earning his first win of 2024. Nonetheless, this was another positive outing for the right-hander, who has now given up one or fewer earned runs in each of his past five trips to the mound (including the relief outing).     Arrighetti (0-3) took the loss against the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and and two walks while striking out seven batters over 3.2 innings.

    Advice: The seven punchouts were nice, and Arrighetti racked up 13 whiffs among his 90 pitches, but Chicago's bats were productive when they made contact. All four of the runs against the right-hander came in the first inning, with the biggest blow being a three-run homer off the bat of Dansby Swanson. Arrighetti has lost all three of his outings this season while posting a 10.97 ERA and 2.34 WHIP, so it's fair to wonder if he'll get another chance to start anytime soon, especially with Houston having two days off over the next week.
