    • Homers, steals bag
Crus went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and an additional run scored during Thursday's 11-7 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cruz took Evan Phillips yard in the eighth inning for a three-run shot, his first home run in 15 games. While 2024 hasn't been the breakout season that fantasy managers may have expected for the talented shortstop, Cruz has eight homers, 13 doubles and five stolen bases through 229 plate appearances. • Clubs second homer
Moreno went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: Moreno has gone 10-for-34 (.294) over his last 11 contests, hitting safely in nine of them. The homer was just his second of the year, as the catcher continues to struggle with generating power. Overall, he has a .242/.322/.344 slash line with 20 RBI, 19 runs scored, eight doubles, a triple and no stolen bases through 51 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
    • Takes second loss
Assad (4-2) allowed five runs on seven hits across 5.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Reds. He walked two and struck out seven.

Advice: Assad flashed his skill with the seven strikeouts, which tied for his second most in a game this year, but he was ultimately done in by a three-run Elly De La Cruz home run in the third inning. The righty still has a solid 2.74 ERA and 68 strikeouts across 69 innings this season, as he's performed well in his first extended run as a full-time starter for the Cubs. Assad will attempt to bounce back in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for June 13 against the Rays on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Oneil Cruz homers, steals base against Dodgers
Oneil Cruz went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and also stole a base on Thursday in the Pirates’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cruz started his professional career with Los Angeles before being traded to the Pirates back in 2017 and came back to haunt his former club in this one with a three-run homer off Dodgers closer Evan Phillips in the eighth inning. It was his eighth round-tripper of the season and he also picked up his fifth steal of the year in this one. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm

    • Assad allows five in loss to Reds Thursday
Javier Assad allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Assad gave up seven hits, walked two and struck out seven. He was replaced by Luke Little in a 4-4 game in the sixth inning and the run that scored on TJ Friedl’s RBI double was charged to Assad. The five earned runs were the most allowed in any start by Assad this year. His ERA is now 2.74, but his xFIP is significantly higher at 3.98. The 26-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rays on the road next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:47 pm

    • Set to start Friday
Irvin will start Friday's game against the Rays, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Irvin will start on regular rest, so it's not particularly notable that he will take the ball for Baltimore on Friday. However, that also moves Kyle Bradish back at least one more game, giving him multiple extra days of rest after Cade Povich took Bradish's original turn Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:54 pm

    • Cole Irvin starting on Friday against Rays
Cole Irvin will start Friday’s series opener against the Rays.

Advice: Irvin will take the ball in place of Kyle Bradish, who is getting a couple extra days of rest as the Orioles manage his workload after dealing with an offseason elbow issue. The 30-year-old lefty holds a 2.84 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 37/12 K/BB ratio across 57 innings (11 appearances, nine starts) this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:45 pm

    • Lifts homer Wednesday
Pages went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Advice: Pages hit one of Los Angeles' two homers off rookie phenom Paul Skenes, launching a solo shot in the fifth inning. It was the first homer for Pages over his past 13 games and his sixth overall this season. Despite the lack of power recently, the rookie outfielder has been swinging a hot bat, collecting four multi-hit efforts over his past seven contests and slashing .500/.522/.682 during that span. • Kyle Bradish won’t make scheduled start on Friday
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that the entire rotation for the upcoming series against the Rays is “TBD,” meaning Kyle Bradish will have his start pushed back.

Advice: Hyde was quick to say that “there are no health concerns for Kyle Bradish,” but the decision was “just about giving him extra rest.” The right-hander was hit hard in his last start against the Rays last week but has a strong 3.18 ERA in 28 1/3 innings since coming back from an elbow injury. There is no word yet on when Bradish will pitch, but if the Orioles decide to have him skip the entire series then he would face the Braves next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 am
