    • Hits monster homer
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton launched a 427-foot homer in the third inning off Chris Paddack for his ninth long ball of 2024. The 34-year-old still owns a huge 34 percent strikeout rate, but he's also carrying a .236 batting average and is slugging .471 -- both would be his best tallies since 2021. Stanton has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:25 pm

    • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • Could return Friday
Rengifo (illness) fielded grounders Monday and could return from the injured list when eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Rengifo came down with a viral infection in early May and landed on the IL when the illness caused painful blisters on his feet. His ability to take grounders Monday is a good indication that he's doing better, and there's a chance he could spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Upon his return, Rengifo should slide back into a starting role at third base -- Niko Goodrum, Luis Guillorme and Cole Tucker have been filling in at the hot corner in his stead. • Rehab games could come this week
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Monday that Robert (hip) could begin playing in games with the team's rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate later this week, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.

Advice: The White Sox are aiming for Robert to be able to run at 90 percent effort in the coming days. If that happens, Robert is expected to be cleared for Complex League games. The 26-year-old presumably would eventually move up to a higher-level affiliate to continue his rehab. Robert has been out since early April with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain but should return from the 10-day injured list before the end of the month if all goes well. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:47 pm

    • Luis Robert Jr. could play rehab games this week
The White Sox are hoping to get Luis Robert Jr. (hip) into rehab games later this week.

Advice: Robert still isn’t running at full strength, but the White Sox insist on being aggressive with injuries, no matter how often it’s come back to bite them. It doesn’t seem likely that Robert will spend much time on a rehab assignment, so he might back to contribute in fantasy leagues next week. Rotoworld Monday, 2:18 pm

    • Returns to lineup Monday
Nimmo (intercostal) will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game versus the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Nimmo didn't start Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta due to right intercostal irritation, but he entered the contest off the bench and eventually clubbed a walk-off, two-run home run in his lone plate appearance. Four of Nimmo's six home runs this season have come over his last 12 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:55 am

    • Homers and doubles in win
Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, a double, a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Rodriguez connected for his second home run of the season on a two-run blast off Alex Wood in the second. He later doubled off the top of the wall to begin the fifth and merely just missed another home run. Rodriguez was the only Mariner with multiple extra-base hits in the game and has been seeing the ball much better lately, with the last six batted balls for him all traveling at least 100 mph. The 23-year-old has endured some struggles at the plate this season but is now slashing .255/.310/.323 with 13 RBI, 16 runs, nine steals and an 11:50 BB:K in 174 plate appearances. • Hits walk-off homer Sunday
Nimmo (intercostal) entered Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta in the bottom of the seventh inning and hit a walk-off two-run home run in his lone at-bat.

Advice: Nimmo was held out of the starting nine due to right intercostal irritation, but he felt well enough to come off the bench and replace DJ Stewart as a pinch runner in the seventh inning. He then manned left field for the final two innings and recorded a pair of outs in the field before slugging a home run off AJ Minter in the bottom of the ninth. Nimmo said during the ESPN broadcast that he expects to play Monday against the Phillies, but fantasy managers will still want to ensure he's included in the lineup prior to the 7:10 p.m. ET opening pitch before activating him. • Brandon Nimmo sinks Braves with walk-off blast
Brandon Nimmo played the role of hero on Sunday night in New York, crushing a walk-off two-run homer off of A.J. Minter to deliver a 4-3 victory over the Braves.

Advice: The Mets entered the final frame trailing 3-2, but things got interesting after Jeff McNeil started it off with a bunt single. He was then sacrificed to second base by Tomas Nido. McNeil got an unbelievable jump on a 2-1 offering to Nimmo and looked to have third base stolen, but Nimmo fouled the pitch off and showed clear frustration with himself over the situation. Not to worry though, as two pitches later he pulverized a cutter from Minter for a 396-foot (103.7 mph EV) walk-off blast. Not bad for his only at-bat in the contest. On the season, he’s now hitting .234/.379/.431 with six long balls and 27 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:18 pm
