    • Daulton Varsho triples, scores twice vs. White Sox
Daulton Varsho went 1-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored, two RBI, and two walks against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: After drawing a walk in the first inning, Varsho brought two runs in to score on a triple in the second. After walking once again in the fourth, he crossed home plate on a base hit by Bo Bichette. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .212/.304/.444 with eight homers, 28 runs scored, 25 RBI, and five steals across 171 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:15 pm
    • Max Fried tosses complete game in win over Cubs
Max Fried tossed a complete game, allowing two runs -- one earned -- with nine strikeouts in a win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Fried was outstanding on Wednesday against the Cubs. He had a perfect game going through five innings until Ian Happ led off the sixth with a double. A wild pitch put Happ on third before a groundout brought him in to score. Fried returned for a clean seventh inning before giving up one more unearned run on two hits and an error in the eighth. Fried finished out the complete game with a strikeout in the ninth. The 30-year-old left-hander struck out nine batters overall on 18 whiffs. He’ll take a 3.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and a 48/20 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings into a start against the Nationals in Atlanta on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:07 pm

    • Wilyer Abreu homers in win
Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, single, and walk in the Red Sox 8-5 win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Abreu scalded his home run at 107.1 MPH and has left very little doubt this season that he can hit right-handed pitchers. He’s been in the lineup against every righty since April 9th while facing just three lefties over the same span. He’s a great asset in daily leagues where you can mix and match him the same way the Red Sox do. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:44 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot shaky in return
Ryan Pepiot allowed three earned runs across four innings in his return to the Rays’ rotation. He walked four and struck out three against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot had been on the shelf since May 5th after a Starling Marte line drive struck his leg and sent him to the IL. He was cruising early, but unraveled a bit in the fifth inning allowing the first three batters to reach base before being pulled. Both of his inherited runners came around to score. Pepiot leaned on his fastball, throwing it for two thirds of his pitches, and didn’t seem to have the best feel of his slider as the Red Sox swung and missed at it just once. • Launches clutch three-run homer
Gimenez went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Mets.

Advice: Gimenez provided a key blast in Cleveland's comeback victory, ripping a three-run homer off Jose Quintana with two outs in the sixth inning to tie the game 3-3. While the long ball was Gimenez's lone hit in the three-game series, he's gone 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers in his last 10 contests. The 25-year-old second baseman is now slashing .266/.327/.386 with four homers, 30 RBI, 28 runs scored and seven steals across 47 games this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:21 pm
    • Andrés Giménez laces three-run homer in victory
Andrés Giménez hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth Wednesday in the Guardians’ 6-3 defeat of the Mets.

Advice: The Mets took a 3-0 lead in the fourth today, but the Guardians did all of the scoring after that. The homer off Jose Quintana was Giménez’s fourth of the year. He’s still not hitting the ball like he did two years ago, but that his strikeout rate is down to 14% has helped him bat .266 and hitting second for the Guardians has given him a nice boost in runs scored (28) and RBI (30). • Ryan Pepiot activated ahead of Wednesday’s start
Rays activated RHP Ryan Pepiot from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Pepiot will make his return to the Rays rotation against the Red Sox tonight. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:02 am

    • Activated ahead of start
The Rays activated Pepiot (lower leg) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday versus the Red Sox in Tampa.

Advice: Pepiot will rejoin the rotation Wednesday after missing the previous two weeks with a lower left leg contusion. The right-hander didn't make a rehab start, so it's possible he will be relatively limited from a pitch-count perspective versus Boston. Pepiot will bring a 3.68 ERA and nifty 41:11 K:BB over 36.2 innings into Wednesday's proceedings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:52 am

    • Heading to bench Wednesday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Naylor started behind the dish in the first two games of the series, so he's likely just getting a breather as the Guardians and Mets wrap up their three-game set with an afternoon matchup. Austin Hedges will handle the catching duties for Cleveland. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:47 am
