    • Varsho blasts ninth home run Thursday
Daulton Varsho went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Varsho came to the plate in a tie game in the seventh inning and hit a two-run home run off Tigers starter Jack Flaherty that put the Blue Jays ahead for good. Varsho is hitting just .213 this year, but he has five stolen bases to go with nine home runs and 27 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:30 pm

    • Guerrero Jr. hits fifth home run Thursday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Guerrero Jr. scored on a Justin Turner double in the eighth inning and then homered in a 7-1 game in the ninth. The home run was his fifth of the season and he now has 24 RBI. Guerrero Jr. is up to .282 with a .799 OPS this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:26 pm
    • Locks down 12th save
Iglesias struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Iglesias has converted his last four save chances since a blown save May 3 versus the Dodgers. He's allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over his last six innings, so it hasn't been the smoothest of stretches for the veteran closer. On the year, he's 12-for-14 in save chances with a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:13 pm
    • Raisel Iglesias fans two Thursday for 12th save
Raisel Iglesias fired a perfect ninth inning on Thursday against the Cubs to collect his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Iglesias received the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 12 pitches (nine strikes) to end it. The 34-year-old veteran stopper has been one of the top closers in the entire fantasy landscape this season, converting 12 of 14 save chances to accompany a solid 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14/5 K/BB ratio across 19 1/3 innings (20 appearances). • Earns win in second complete game
Fried (4-2) earned the win over the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in a complete game. He struck out nine.

Advice: Fried dominated the Cubs' lineup in his second complete game of the season, retiring the first 15 batters he faced before surrendering a leadoff double to Ian Happ to open the bottom of the sixth. The lefty produced 18 whiffs in the contest and finished with a season-high nine strikeouts, while also not issuing any walks for first time in his last five starts. He's now gone at least seven innings in three of his last four outings, posting a 23:9 K:BB over that stretch. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:00 pm

    • Finds trouble in fifth inning
Pepiot allowed three runs on two hits, four walks and a hit batsman while striking out three over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Pepiot returned from a lower left leg contusion that sent him to the injured list. He was cruising through the first four innings, but he put three straight batters on base to begin the fifth. Richard Lovelady couldn't slow down the Boston offense, leaving Pepiot to settle for a no-decision. The 26-year-old right-hander threw just 37 of 66 pitches for strikes in his return from injury. Pepiot now has a 3.98 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB over 40.2 innings across eight starts. It's unclear if his limited workload came from a pitch count or just the natural flow of the game. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:27 pm

Advice: Abreu delivered the final scoring play for the Red Sox in this contest when he took Rays reliever Kevin Kelly deep in the sixth inning. Over the last four games, Abreu has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with five RBI and three extra-base hits. The 24-year-old outfielder continues to play well in a strong-side platoon role, slashing .275/.357/.486 with five homers, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 157 plate appearances this season. • Daulton Varsho triples, scores twice vs. White Sox
Daulton Varsho went 1-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored, two RBI, and two walks against the White Sox on Wednesday.

After walking once again in the fourth, he crossed home plate on a base hit by Bo Bichette. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .212/.304/.444 with eight homers, 28 runs scored, 25 RBI, and five steals across 171 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:15 pm

    • Max Fried tosses complete game in win over Cubs
Max Fried tossed a complete game, allowing two runs -- one earned -- with nine strikeouts in a win over the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Fried was outstanding on Wednesday against the Cubs. He had a perfect game going through five innings until Ian Happ led off the sixth with a double. A wild pitch put Happ on third before a groundout brought him in to score. Fried returned for a clean seventh inning before giving up one more unearned run on two hits and an error in the eighth. Fried finished out the complete game with a strikeout in the ninth. The 30-year-old left-hander struck out nine batters overall on 18 whiffs. He’ll take a 3.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and a 48/20 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings into a start against the Nationals in Atlanta on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:07 pm
