    • Takes live BP
Jung (wrist) took live batting practice Thursday, Kenndi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The rehabbing Jung saw 30-40 pitches from the rehabbing Tyler Mahle (elbow). The next step for Jung is a trip to Triple-A Round Rock to continue live BP before he officially begins a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Today, 5:28 am

    • Back in lineup
Suarez started at third base and went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in Thursday's 11-1 win over the Angels. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Suarez returned to the lineup after being replaced at the hot corner by Blaze Alexander the previous day. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Alexander will be given more opportunities at third with Suarez (.195/.267/.309) mired in a season-long slump. Rotowire.com Today, 4:59 am
    • Records quality start in victory
Ryan (5-5) earned the win over Oakland on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters over seven innings.

Advice: Ryan surrendered a two-run homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the second inning, but those were the only runs the A's managed against the righty hurler. Ryan finished with a stat line very similar to his previous outing, when he gave up two runs on three hits over seven frames versus Pittsburgh, though that performance came in a losing effort. The 28-year-old pitcher has four quality starts over his past five appearances and has posted a 2.73 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB across 33 frames during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 12:42 am

    • Ryan picks up fifth win against A’s Thursday
Joe Ryan allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Ryan gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five. The win was his fifth of the year. Both of the runs for Oakland came on a Tyler Soderstrom two-run home run in the second inning. Ryan hung a splitter to Soderstrom, but it was basically the only mistake he made on the night. It was Ryan’s 10th quality start of the season. His ERA is now 3.24 on the year. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rays at home next week.

    • Raisel Iglesias gets 17th save against Orioles
Raisel Iglesias picked up his 17th save with a scoreless ninth against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Even though the Braves are struggling to score, Iglesias has had easier save chances than most closers; this was the ninth of his 19 save chances (17 successful) in which he’s come in with a three-run lead and the bases empty. He’s entered with a one-run lead just three times. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:01 pm
    • Collects 17th save
Iglesias allowed one hit while tossing a scoreless ninth inning to collect the save Thursday against the Orioles.

Advice: Iglesias hit the first batter he faced, then allowed a one-out single but settled down to record the final two outs and pick up his 17th save in 19 attempts. Iglesias has only allowed one run over his last nine outings since May 17, with each appearance lasting exactly one inning. He's gone 7-for-7 in save opportunities over that span. • On base five times in loss
Perez went 2-for-2 with three walks in Wednesday's 11-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Perez walked three times in a game for the first time in his career. The catcher has gone just 6-for-33 (.182) over 10 contests in June, but he's shown rare patience at the plate by drawing eight walks in that span. For the season, he's at a .302/.381/.488 slash line with 10 home runs, 42 RBI, 26 runs scored, 15 doubles and no stolen bases, and his 9.0 percent walk rate is double his previous career high, which was in a 39-game sample as a rookie in 2011. • Swipes 13th bag
Volpe went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base Wednesday against Kansas City in an 11-5 victory.

Advice: Volpe led off the game with a single and then stole second base before later coming around to score. The theft was his 13th of the campaign, pushing him past the halfway point as he seeks to surpass last season's total of 24 steals. Volpe has reached base at a much higher clip this season -- he's currently posting a .335 OBP compared to last year's .283 mark. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:56 pm

    • Gets on base four times
Soler went 2-for-2 with two walks and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Astros.

Advice: Soler has found some success at the plate in June, going 11-for-37 (.297) over 10 contests this month. He's also drawn four walks over his last three games, though his 9.6 percent walk rate is still his lowest since 2015. While it's a positive to see the designated hitter make more consistent contact, he's still struggling to hit for power. He's batting .217 with a .661 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 56 games this season. Soler's lowest OPS in a season is .503 in 2017, but he played in just 35 games that year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:18 pm
