    • Returns to action Monday
Wade (hamstring) will start at first base and bat second in Monday's game versus the Phillies.

Advice: Wade had to exit a game this past Friday after tweaking his hamstring, causing him to miss the next two contests. He's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one, though, as the Giants take on right-hander Taijuan Walker and the Phillies. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:09 am

    • Slump continues
Carter went 0-for-2 in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Carter's hitless run reached 20 consecutive at-bats, and he's just two for his last 38. With Wyatt Langford (hamstring) possibly set to return Tuesday, the Rangers could send Carter back down to the minors to fix whatever is not working for him right now. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:10 am

    • Wyatt Langford (hamstring) expected back Tuesday
Wyatt Langford (hamstring) is expected to return from the injured list on Tuesday.

Advice: Langford played in his third game on his minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday and isn’t expected to need any more at-bats before he’s ready to return to the Rangers’ lineup. Before landing on the shelf on May 6, the 22-year-old phenom was hitting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one stolen base over his first 31 games at the big league level. • Could be activated Tuesday
Langford (hamstring) will bat leadoff and start in left field for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday in what could be his final rehab appearance before he returns from the 10-day injured list, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: The Rangers could use a spark in the lineup, and with Langford playing the field in back-to-back games, it would seem his hamstring is responding well. Texas is off Monday, so Langford's status may not be known until Tuesday's series opener versus the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:20 pm

    • Lamonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) out Sunday
LaMonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: Wade Jr. will miss Sunday’s game after leaving Wednesday’s contest with a hamstring issue. The Giants will start Ryan McKenna in right field while Wade Jr. is out. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:07 am

    • Absent from lineup Sunday
Wade (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets

Advice: Wade tweaked his hamstring in the ninth inning of San Fransisco's 8-7 win over the Mets on Friday, and he'll be out of the lineup for the second straight game as the two clubs finish up their series. Wilmer Flores will fill in at first base for Wade and will bat fifth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:04 am

    • Rehab moves to field
Langford (hamstring) started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Advice: Langford, who began his rehab assignment Friday as the DH, moved to the field Saturday and played five innings. The Rangers, who have lost six straight and 12 of the last 14, could fast-track Langford's return to Tuesday, when Texas opens a two-game set against Arizona. A sign of that would be Langford starting in the outfield for a second straight day, when Round Rock finishes its series against Sugar Land on Sunday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:51 am

    • Evan Carter batting ninth on Saturday for Rangers
Evan Carter is batting ninth on Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Carter has batted pretty much everywhere in the Rangers’ lineup this season, but he’s been dropped to the ninth spot after batting .136 (6-for-44) with 16 strikeouts and only four walks over his last 15 contests. There are no easy answers here for fantasy managers, but the 21-year-old top prospect simply isn’t producing enough at the moment to make an impact. It’s tough to bail on him completely in re-draft formats, but the underlying batted ball data doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence in an immediate rebound. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:38 am

    • Wyatt Langford posts three hard-hit BBE’s at AAA
Wyatt Langford (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with a walk on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Round Rock.

Advice: It won’t show up in the surface stats, but Langford recorded impressive exit velocities of 109.6, 101.3 and 96 mph on three batted ball events during his rehab assignment debut on Friday night at Triple-A Round Rock. The 22-year-old top prospect will likely require a handful of additional contests to get back up to speed before returning to the Rangers’ lineup. He’s been on the shelf since early May recovering from a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:32 am
