    • Kyle Harrison will throw a bullpen on Friday
      According to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Shayna Rubin, Kyle Harrison (ankle) will throw a bullpen on Friday.

      Advice: Harrison was placed on the IL on July 16th, so the Giants could choose to activate him without needing a rehab assignment if the bullpen session goes well. We should find out more information later on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 11:30 am
       
    • Lamonte Wade Jr. coming off IL on Thursday
      According to MLB.com’s Maria I. Guardado, the Giants will activate 1B/OF Lamonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) from the 10-day IL on Friday.

      Advice: The veteran was placed on the IL at the end of May and will have missed about four weeks. Wade has a tremendous on-base percentage and will return to an everyday role against right-handed pitching. That will send David Villar back to the bench. Rotoworld Today, 11:27 am

    • Throwing bullpen session
      Harrison (ankle) will throw a bullpen session Friday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Harrison resumed throwing on flat ground earlier this week and has now been cleared to try things from the bump.       Wade (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Wade has been sidelined for the past month with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain but has been cleared to return after playing three rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento, going 1-for-7 with a 2:4 K:BB. The 30-year-old has slashed a robust .333/.470/.426 for the Giants this season and will go back to receiving regular starts at first base against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 11:11 am

    • Belts another homer Wednesday
      Henderson went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in a 4-2 win against Cleveland on Wednesday.

      Advice: Henderson knocked in Baltimore's first two runs with a single in the second inning and a solo shot to center field in the fifth. The talented young shortstop has gone deep eight times over 24 games in June, including four times across his past six contests. Henderson ranks second in the majors with 26 homers through 79 games on the campaign and needs just two more long balls to match the 28 home runs he belted over 150 contests last year.       Rodriguez (9-3) earned the win over Cleveland on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

      Advice: Rodriguez was tagged for seven runs over five innings against Houston during his previous trip to the mound, but he was much better Wednesday, notching his seventh quality start of the campaign and his ninth victory. The right-hander did give up two home runs, but both were of the solo variety, and they accounted for the only scores the Guardians managed against him. Rodriguez has been good at limiting long balls this season -- Wednesday marked just the second time he has allowed multiple homers -- and he's completed at least five frames in all but one of his 14 starts.       Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs across seven innings in a 4-2 win over the Guardians. He struck out four without walking a batter.

      Advice: Rodriguez’s changeup was especially lethal in this one: dropping three inches more than his season average and forcing five swings and misses. He ended his day on a beautiful one low and out of the zone to Brayan Rocchio that got him through seven innings for the second time in three starts.       Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on Wednesday against the Guardians.

      Advice: This man is a revelation. He drove in the Orioles’ only runs until the seventh inning in this game. His 26 home runs trail only Aaron Judge. He joined Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto as the only players with an OPS over 1.000. He also has 13 stolen bases, 70 runs scored, and 57 RBI while playing elite shortstop defense.     • Cal Raleigh lifts Mariners to victory over Rays
      Cal Raleigh clobbered a three-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Mariners to a 5-2 victory over the Rays.

      Advice: Raleigh put Seattle ahead for good in a low-scoring series finale at Tropicana Field by walloping a gargantuan 422-foot dinger to right field off Rays reliever Shawn Armstrong in the sixth inning. It was his lone hit of the contest, but he also drew a pair of walks as well. The 27-year-old backstop remains a liability in the batting average department, but he’s up to 14 big flies already and is on pace for his second consecutive 30-homer campaign.
