    • Undergoing season-ending surgery
      Lee is set to undergo season-ending surgery in the next few weeks for a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Lee sustained the injury in the top of the first inning of Sunday's game against the Reds when he crashed into the outfield wall while attempting to make a catch. He was placed on the 10-day IL with what was initially labelled as a dislocated left shoulder, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed further structural damage. Lee received multiple opinions on the injury, and season-ending surgery has been ultimately been decided on for the 25-year-old outfielder. Lee signed a six-year, $113 million with the Giants in December of 2023 after seven seasons in the Korea Baseball Organization, and he will end his first season in the majors slashing .262/.310/.331 with four doubles, two home runs and eight RBI over 158 plate appearances.       Jung Hoo Lee will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.

      Advice: It had been anticipated that Lee would be sidelined for most — if not all — of the season after crashing into the center-field wall at Oracle Park over the weekend, and now it’s official. The 25-year-old finishes his first season stateside hitting .262/.310/.331 with a pair of homers, 15 runs scored, eight RBI and two stolen bases in 37 games.       Kyle Harrison will have his start pushed back until Saturday, with Mason Black taking his place on Friday evening against the Rockies.

      Advice: Giants’ manager Bob Melvin simply wanted to get Harrison and Jordan Hicks an extra day of rest, which is why he inserted Black into the team’s rotation on Friday night instead of in the spot vacated by the injured Keaton Winn (forearm).       Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that Carter (back) is available off the bench for Friday's series opener against the Angels, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Carter hasn't played since May 10 against the Rockies due to lower-back inflammation. He received a cortisone shot Monday, and while he won't be starting Friday, he could make a return to the lineup over the weekend.       Advice: Bohm continues to bash the ball this season as his average is .331. Bohm has a 15 percent strikeout percentage since the beginning of last season. He’s someone you can count on for a solid batting average and entrenched in the middle of the Phillies batting order. Bohm is also benefiting greatly from a .381 BABIP, which is 55 points higher than his career .326 BABIP. He probably has to cool off at some point, but his profile doesn’t scream sell high.

      Advice: De La Cruz crushed a two-run, 422-foot homer off Casey Mize in the first inning Wednesday for the only runs scored in the Marlins' shutout victory. De La Cruz has gone just 4-for-24 in his last six games, though he's already up to nine home runs on the season, nearly halfway to the career-high 19 he hit last year.
