    • Sitting versus lefty
Lux isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Friday versus the Royals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: With southpaw Cole Ragans on the mound for Kansas City, the lefty-hitting Lux will watch the beginning of Friday's contest from Los Angeles' dugout. Miguel Rojas will fill in at the keystone and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:37 pm

    • Crushes three-run homer in win
O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill singled in the first inning then broke the game open in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Aaron Nola that traveled 430 feet over the Green Monster. After returning at DH from a knee injury Wednesday, O'Neill got the start in right field Thursday and hit his first home run since May 19. O'Neill endured a terrible May, hitting .151 with two home runs and five RBI over 73 at-bats, but he has opened June by going 7-for-16 with a homer and five RBI in just five contests. Health has always been a concern for O'Neill, as he has eclipsed 100 games played in a season just once, but he is now slashing .256/.356/.512 with 12 home runs in 2024. • O’Neill crushes 12th home run Thursday
Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments. • Gathers hit, RBI in win
O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Advice: O'Neill returned from a knee injury and served as Boston's designated hitter. He tried to stretch a single into a double in the first inning but was thrown out, which suggests O'Neill's knee is feeling better. He later plated a run on a sacrifice fly during the Red Sox's five-run fifth inning, which helped wipe out Philadelphia's early 4-0 lead. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:54 am
    • Returning as DH on Wednesday
O'Neill (knee) will serve as Boston's designated hitter and No. 3 batter in Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: O'Neill hadn't played in any of the Red Sox's last three games due to right knee inflammation and looked to be at risk of a return to the 10-day injured list, but the 28-year-old was apparently able to show enough improvement over the last few days to avoid being deactivated again. Masataka Yoshida should settle in as the Red Sox's primary DH after returning from the IL on Tuesday, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday to facilitate O'Neill's return to the lineup. It's unclear when the Red Sox might be comfortable with having O'Neill make starts in the corner outfield. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:46 pm
    • Sitting against lefty
Nimmo is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Marlins.

Advice: Nimmo has struck out eight times across his last 14 plate appearances, and he might have had a tough time bouncing back Wednesday against a left-handed starting pitcher (Braxton Garrett), so he'll be given the day off to regroup. Tyrone Taylor will replace Nimmo in left field and will bat sixth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:17 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill back in the lineup on Wednesday
Tyler O’Neill is back in the lineup for the Red Sox on Wednesday, hitting third and playing designated hitter against the Phillies.

Advice: This is the plan that manager Alex Cora outlined earlier in the week, and the Red Sox are staying on track with it for now. The hope is that O’Neill will be able to move back to the outfield later this week, which will allow the Red Sox to also play Masataka Yoshida, who returned from the IL but is on the bench on Wednesday with O’Neill at DH. • Marcell Ozuna reaches three times in shutout loss
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with a walk on Tuesday in the Braves’ shutout loss at the hands of the Orioles.

Advice: Ozuna was the lone Braves batter with multiple hits on Tuesdya evening as journeyman Albert Suárez and a quartet of relievers combined on a five-hit shutout at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The 33-year-old slugger has been carrying Atlanta’s lineup all season with a .993 OPS with 18 homers and 55 RBI through 64 games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:08 pm

    • Tyler O’Neill (knee) not starting Tuesday vs. PHI
Tyler O’Neill (knee) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s tilt against the Phillies.

Advice: The hope was O’Neill would return from his knee troubles for Tuesday’s game, but that won’t happen. The outfielder will miss at least one more game with Rob Refsnyder starting in right. O’Neill should still be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:16 pm
