    • Launches go-ahead homer
Conforto went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The Rangers tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth inning, but Conforto's seventh-inning blast put the Giants ahead for good. The outfielder has slumped since returning from a hamstring injury, going 2-for-14 over four contests, but his long ball Friday could spark his bat. Overall, he's at a .268/.324/.478 slash line with eight homers, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 42 games. Conforto should continue to see a starting role in left field, though he could be squeezed out of the lineup versus some southpaws to accommodate the red-hot Heliot Ramos. • Finnegan picks up 17th save against Braves Friday
Kyle Finnegan tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Braves on Friday.

Advice: The save was Finnegan’s 17th of the season. He added two strikeouts in the process. His ERA is now 1.80 on the season. Finnegan has come out of nowhere to be one of the best closers in all of fantasy this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm
    • Civale allows four runs in loss to Orioles Friday
Aaron Civale allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: Civale gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out eight. He’s won just two of his 13 starts this year. Tampa Bay acquired Civale last year and he had a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts. In 13 starts this year, his ERA is 5.91. If the Rays of all teams can’t fix him, I don’t know if any team can. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week. • Up to 17 saves
Finnegan earned the save Friday in a 2-1 win over Atlanta, striking out a pair in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Finnegan is now 17-for-19 in save chances this year, tied for fourth-most in the majors. The right-hander's allowed just two earned runs in his last 23 appearances (23.1 innings), lowering his ERA to 1.80 with a 0.92 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB across 25 innings this season. • Falls apart Thursday
Harvey (2-2) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, coughing up three runs on four hits in an inning of relief.

Advice: Taking the mound with the score tied 2-2, Harvey got two quick outs before the wheels came off, with the rally highlighted by Marcell Ozuna's two-run homer on a slider that caught too much of the plate. Harvey had been scored upon only once in his prior 10 appearances, and the long ball was just the second he's served up this season in 31.1 innings. The right-hander has been generally outstanding as the Nationals' top setup man, posting a 2.87 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 34:6 K:BB, and his 18 holds already has him one away from his career high. • Will serve as 27th man
Baty will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to serve as the 27th man during this weekend's series in London versus the Phillies, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Baty was optioned to Syracuse a week ago following a slow start but has gone 3-for-10 with two home runs in his first two games back in the minors. He will likely operate in a reserve role for the two games in London before being sent back down early next week. Baty also revealed that the plan is for him to get some game reps at second base when he goes back to Syracuse, per Puma. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:24 am

    • Mets to activate Baty as 27th man in London
The Mets will activate 3B Brett Baty as the 27th man for the London series, according to manager Carlos Mendoza.

Advice: Baty was sent down last week after losing the third base job. He’ll serve as an extra bat off the bench for the next two games before heading back to the minors. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:02 am

    • Struggles with control in loss
Lopez (5-6) took the loss against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing seven runs on four hits and six walks while striking out four batters over four innings.

Advice: Lopez threw just 54 of 96 pitches for strikes and issued a season-high six walks -- more than he had handed out over his previous seven starts combined. Three of the free passes came to consecutive batters leading off the third frame, and all three of the recipients came around to score. The wildness was probably an aberration for Lopez considering his overall track record, but even when he's finding the strike zone, he's been struggling to get batters out. Over his past four starts, Lopez has allowed 21 earned runs over 20.2 innings, pushing his season ERA to a disappointing 5.45. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:15 pm

    • Impressive in win
Houck (6-5) allowed two runs on three hits and struck out nine over seven innings to earn the win Thursday over the White Sox. He did not issue a walk.

Advice: Houck carried a no-hitter through five innings, though the White Sox managed to tag him for one run in each of the sixth and seventh frames. The right-hander remains dialed in, having allowed just four runs over 27 innings across his last four starts. Houck is at a 1.91 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 84:15 K:BB over 85 innings through 13 starts this season. His next start is projected to be a challenging one at home versus the Phillies.
