    • Locks down 12th save
Kimbrel struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Kimbrel hasn't allowed a walk or a hit over his last 4.2 innings, and he's pitched 6.2 consecutive scoreless innings. He's earned a save in each of his last four outings, retaking the closer role after a shaky stretch in late April and early May saw him take a short stint in lower-leverage assignments. Kimbrel is 12-for-15 in save chances this season while posting a 3.15 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB over 20 innings. He's also collected four holds and a 4-1 record, but it looks like most of his appearances will be in the ninth inning going forward. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:52 pm
    • Nails down 15th save
Holmes picked up the save over the Padres on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Holmes made it look easy Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth on a total of just seven pitches to record his 15th save of the season. The right-handed reliever has now converted his last two save opportunities after surrendering four runs to the Mariners on May 20, striking out at least one batter in each of those appearances. Holmes sits just one save behind Emmanuel Clase (16) for the American League lead after Saturday's outing. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:40 am

    • Holmes picks up 15th save on Saturday
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Holmes pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning and struck out one on his way to his 15th save of the season, which is second among closers in all of baseball. He blew a save earlier this week, but has since bounced back with a four-out save and a clean ninth inning save. Holmes figures to continue racking up saves the way the Yankees’ season is going. • Stumbles against Brewers
Crawford (2-3) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings as the Red Sox fell 7-2 to the Brewers. He struck out four.

Advice: It was the worst performance of the season for the right-hander, who failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 5 and got tagged for more than three earned runs for just the second time in 11 starts. Crawford will take a 2.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 61:20 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:10 am

    • Craig Kimbrel earns save after near-miss homer
Craig KImbrel picked up his 11th save with a perfect ninth against the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Sort of perfect anyway, given that it took Colton Cowser robbing Tommy Pham of a homer to end the game. Still, even if that ball had managed to get over Cowser’s glove in center, Kimbrel did have another run to play with. It goes as Kimbrel’s sixth straight hitless and walkless appearance. • Kutter Crawford surrenders six runs in defeat
Kutter Crawford lasted only 4 1/3 innings and gave up six runs Friday in a loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Crawford allowed only five hard-hit balls on the night, but he couldn’t stop the bleeding in either the third or the fifth, giving up three runs each inning. After opening up with a 0.66 ERA in his first five starts, Crawford has come in at 4.64 in his last six outings. He’ll pitch in Baltimore next time out, making him a mediocre play in mixed leagues. • Slams door for save
Kimbrel struck out one batter in a perfect inning and earned a save over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Kimbrel needed just six pitches to finish off a 6-4 victory in quick fashion. After a shaky stretch, he's riding a 5.2-inning scoreless streak. During that span, he's gone 1-0 with three saves and two holds. The veteran closer dropped his ERA to 3.32 and has converted 11 of his 14 saves this season. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:53 pm
    • Grabs 10th save
Kimbrel picked up the save Thursday, getting the final two outs in an 8-6 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Jonathan Heasley stayed in the game to start the ninth inning with the O's ahead 8-2 after getting the last out in the eighth, though he would quickly run into trouble after failing to retire the first four batters he faced in the final frame. He would be relieved by Yennier Cano, but Cano allowed three inherited runners to score while getting only one out, making it an 8-6 ballgame. That's when Kimbrel came in to save the day, needing just two pitches to record a bizarre double play as Andrew Vaughn was called out for runner's interference on an infield fly. The veteran reliever has converted all three of his save attempts this month after blowing back-to-back saves to close out April. Kimbrel also hasn't allowed any hits or walks in those three appearances with five strikeouts. Rotowire.com Friday, 6:52 am
    • Kimbrel picks up 10th save Thursday
Craig Kimbrel picked up the save against the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: With the bases loaded and a five-run lead in the ninth inning, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde went to Yennier Cano for what was an unconventional save opportunity. Cano hit Andrew Vaughn and allowed a two run single to Gavin Sheets to make it a two-run game. After striking out Zach DeLoach, Cano was removed in favor of Kimbrel, who got Andrew Benintendi to pop into a double play. The save was Kimbrel’s 10th of the season and his third since returning to the closer’s role. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:06 pm
