    • Goes six innings in loss
Keller (8-4) was charged with the loss after he allowed four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts over six innings Thursday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Keller's four earned runs allowed tied a season high, but he still managed to extend a streak of seven straight starts of at least six innings. He gave up a homers to Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan, making it the first time this season he's allowed multiple long balls in a game. The 28-year-old has a 3.36 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 78:22 K:BB across 85.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:15 pm

    • Mitch Keller gives up first homers in five weeks
Mitch Keller lost to the Cardinals after giving up four runs in six innings Thursday.

Advice: Keller had gone five straight starts without allowing a homer and hadn’t yielded more than one in any outing this season, but both Paul Goldschmidt and Brendan Donovan left the yard against him today. It’s the first time he’s given up more than two runs since Apr. 30. He’s now 8-4 with a 3.36 ERA. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:57 pm

    • Nestor Cortes solid for seven against Royals
Nestor Cortes pitched seven innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Cortes turned in his best start in weeks, but he was still in line for the loss when he left. The Yankees offense did let him off the hook, but the Bombers still lost the game to fall to 6-9 in Cortes’s starts. It’s a bizarre figure, given that Cortes has been pretty good with his 3.59 ERA and the team is 43-13 when anyone else starts. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:27 pm

    • Goes seven strong in no-decision
Cortes allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over seven innings during Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Royals. He didn't factor in the decision.

Advice: Cortes ran into some trouble in the fourth inning with two runs allowed but otherwise kept Kansas City off the board, pitching deep into yet another start. This was his fifth outing this season of seven or more innings, which is tied for the second most in the American League. The two strikeouts tied for a season low, and the veteran lefty has now gone four straight starts without a win. He will take a 3.59 ERA into his next start, which lines up to come against the Orioles next week. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:56 pm

    • Rebounds with win
Stroman (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing four hits and three walks with one strikeout across 5.2 scoreless innings against Kansas City.

Advice: After allowing a season-high five runs in his last start, Stroman blanked the Royals on Tuesday. However, he struggled with command, finding the strike zone on just 54 of his 102 pitches while issuing three walks. The 33-year-old has generated five combined strikeouts in his last three starts, a stretch in which he's walked seven batters and hit two more. On the year, Stroman owns a 2.82 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP across 79.2 innings. He's lined up to face the Red Sox at Fenway on Sunday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:01 pm

    • Stroman pitches 5 2/3 scoreless innings vs. Royals
Marcus Stroman pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings and allowed four hits in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

Advice: Stroman allowed seven baserunners while striking out just one batter, but the veteran righty did what was needed to stifle a potent Royals lineup on the road. It was a nice bounce back for Stroman, who allowed a season-high five earned runs in his last outing against the Twins, but surrendered just one extra-base hits in this one. Now sitting on a 6-2 record and boasting a 2.82 ERA, Stroman will look to earn his seventh win on Sunday against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:55 pm

    • Strikes out four in loss
Berrios (5-5) took the loss to the Brewers on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Berrios surrendered solo home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames in the third and fourth innings then allowed another run on a sacrifice fly by Adames in the sixth. Berrios was bidding for his sixth straight quality start but labored through the sixth and left the game with two outs after throwing 105 pitches in the contest. Despite faltering late, Berrios has now logged a quality start in 11 of 14 outings and owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 64:22 K:BB this season. He lines up for his second start of the week against the Guardians on Sunday. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:12 pm

    • Berrios allows three runs in loss Monday
Jose Berrios allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: Berrios gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. Two of the five hits he allowed were home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. Berrios has a 2.93 ERA on the season, but his xFIP is 4.09. His 88 percent left on base percentage is a giant red flag. It’s unlikely Berrios will continue to be able to get by with an 18 percent strikeout percentage while allowing 1.36 HR/9. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home this weekend.

    • Drops contest against Dodgers
Cortes (3-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Cortes gave up a pair of solo homers among the seven total hits Los Angeles tallied against him, and the four runs he yielded tied a season-high mark. The lefty hurler did at least manage to keep New York within striking range -- though the game ended in a blowout, most of the Dodgers' damage came after Cortes' departure. Cortes is hanging onto a respectable 3.68 ERA on the season, though his current 8.7 K/9 is on pace for his lowest mark since a four-appearance cup of coffee as a rookie in 2018.
