  • CJ Abrams has three hits in loss to LAD
    CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 and was caught stealing in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

    Advice: All three of Abrams’ hits were singles, but Abrams is now slashing .316/.372/.671 on the season. He was hitting leadoff even against a lefty and continues to make a tremendous amount of contact. The only blemish is that this was the second time Abrams was caught stealing this year to go along with four steals. However, anybody who thought the 23-year-old’s performance in 2023 was a fluke might be regretting not having him on their fantasy team. Rotoworld Today, 7:30 pm

  • Witt doubles, drives in two vs. Blue Jays
    Bobby Witt Jr. was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in the Royals’ win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

    Advice: Witt was integral to a three-run fifth inning for the Royals, who had been held scoreless until that point. His double plated Maikel Garcia and Kyle Isbel to give the Royals a 3-2 lead, which proved to be just what they needed to escape with the win over Kevin Gausman and the Jays. Witt’s bat continues to stay hot, as he’s now hit in four straight games.

  • Elly has HR and SB in win over Phillies
    Elly De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base in an 8-1 win over the Phillies.

    Advice: It’s been quite the beginning of the season for Elly, who is now slashing .295/.402/.641 with seven home runs and 12 steals. Honestly, the on-base percentage may be the most impressive number. After struggling with his plate discipline last year, the 22-year-old has made incredible strides in 2024 with 13 walks in 23 games. He will likely always run some high strikeout rates, but he is consistently putting himself in a position to do damage with better swing decisions and fantasy managers are reaping the benefits.   • Marco Luciano batting .303 at Triple-A Sacramento
    Giants SS prospect Marco Luciano went 2-for-5 with three RBI on Tuesday for Triple-A Sacramento.

    Advice: Luciano is hitting .303 (23-for-76) with zero homers, 13 RBI and three steals through 19 contests this season. He’s still striking out at a healthy clip, which remains his biggest obstacle to long-term fantasy relevance. It’s worth noting that the Giants have been extremely satisfied with veteran defensive standout Nick Ahmed at shortstop so far this year, so he’s unlikely to receive a call up unless injuries strike.     Blaze Alexander (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Cardinals.

    Advice: Alexander will miss his third straight contest due to a relatively minor right hamstring issue that cropped up over the weekend. The 24-year-old rookie slugger has been outstanding so far in his first taste of the majors with a stratospheric .945 OPS with three homers, 13 RBI and one steal through 18 contests..   • Out again Tuesday
    Alexander (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest in St. Louis.

    Advice: Alexander tweaked his right hamstring Sunday and has now missed two straight starts. He was reportedly available off the bench Monday, so it shouldn't be long before he's ready to return to the lineup.   • Straight-line running Tuesday
    Urshela (hamstring) did some straight-line running drills Tuesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

    Advice: It's a good sign that he's already doing some running just a few days after landing on the injured list with a right hamstring strain. Urshela will eventually progress to running the bases and could need a short rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 11:18 am

  • Notches steal Monday
    Winn went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Winn has gone 3-for-13 with two walks, a double, a steal and two runs scored over his last four contests. The shortstop is in a starting role and leads the Cardinals with a .323 batting average. He's added an .824 OPS, four steals, six RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles and two triples, but he has yet to hit a home run this season.     Garcia went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

    Advice: Garcia is starting to come around at the plate, going 4-for-17 (.235) over his last four contests following a five-game slump. The third baseman has already matched his homer total from last season (four), which took him 123 games to accumulate in 2023.
