      Advice: Díaz brought two runs in to score with a line drive off the right field wall as he legged out a triple in the second inning. He was credited with a third RBI after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the third. The 32-year-old first baseman is slashing .243/.320/.350 with four homers and 28 RBI across 253 plate appearances.       Advice: Yoshida was able to take another step in his recovery from the strained left thumb that has sidelined him since May 1. The outfielder said Saturday that he is "over the injury and it's a matter of building up," according to Abraham.       Cardinals’ manager Oli Marmol told reporters on Friday that Lars Nootbaar is dealing with a moderate oblique strain and is expected to miss several weeks.

      Advice: It won’t be a minimum stint on the injured list for the 26-year-old outfielder this time around. It sounds like he’s looking at an extended absence and will then require a minor league rehab assignment before he’s able to return to the Cardinals’ outfield.
