    • Tallies two extra-base hits
Greene went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-7 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: While Greene's batting average is still a bit underwhelming at .239, his .849 OPS is stronger due to eight extra-base knocks through 19 games. In fact, exactly half of the outfielder's hits have gone for extra bases so far. Greene is heating up, and with his ability to leg out doubles or hit the ball over the wall, he should be primed for good numbers the rest of the way. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

    • Sharp in second win
Pepiot (2-2) earned the win against the Angels on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Pepiot after he allowed five runs in a loss to San Francisco in his last start. The right-hander blanked the Angels through five innings Thursday, ultimately allowing a lone run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. It's been a mixed bag for Pepiot result-wise through four starts this year, though his underlying metrics are impressive. He lowered his ERA to 4.37 with an encouraging 1.01 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 22.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:10 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot holds Angels to one run in victory
Ryan Pepiot held the Angels to one run over six innings with seven strikeouts Thursday while picking up a win.

Advice: Pepiot did walk three, but he allowed only three hits and was able to limit the damage sans a sacrifice fly from Miguel Sano in the sixth. This was a much better effort for the 26-year-old than his struggles Saturday against the Giants, and he’s allowed just a run in two of his last three efforts. Pepiot’s shaky command offers volatility, but his swing-and-miss stuff brings reward with the risk. He gets the Tigers next week. Rotoworld Today, 12:37 pm

    • Rare day off Thursday
Arozarena is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Angels.

Advice: Arozarena will get just his second day off this season while he's stuck in a 2-for-23 rut at the plate that has dropped his slash line to .174/.240/.275 for the season. While Arozarena rests, Harold Ramirez will pick up a start in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 6:57 am

    • Swipes second bag
Altuve went 2-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to Atlanta.

Advice: The veteran second baseman racked up his fifth multi-hit performance over the last seven games, a stretch in which Altuve is batting a blistering .467 (14-for-30). He was hardly cold before that though, and he's failed to collect a hit in only one of his first 20 games. On the season, Altuve is slashing .388/.462/.675 with five homers, two steals, seven RBI and 15 runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:52 am
    • Notches fourth save
Miller pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the Cardinals to record his fourth save Wednesday, striking out two and walking one while not allowing any hits.

Advice: Miller entered the contest with a three-run lead in the top of the ninth and proceeded to walk the leadoff man before getting two of the next three batters to go down on strikes, both swinging. The right-hander needed only nine pitches to retire the final three batters and record his fourth save in as many chances. Miller has not allowed a hit over his last four appearances, posting a 9:1 K:BB over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 5:52 am

    • Cooling off
Joe went 0-for-3 with a walk Wednesday against the Mets.

Advice: Joe got off to an excellent start to the season, which helped him earn more playing time than expected while splitting time between right field and first base. He's been in the lineup for six of Pittsburgh's last seven games but has now gone just 4-for-22 in that span. Joe will likely need to turn things around quickly to maintain his playing time against righties, with Edward Olivares being his primary competition for plate appearances. • Stays aggressive on basepaths
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base Wednesday against the Angels.

Advice: Arozarena hasn't had a good start at the plate, as he's hitting just .174 with two home runs across 75 plate appearances. When he has gotten on base, however, he's taken advantage as he's managed four stolen bases without being caught. Arozarena is also striking out at a fairly typical 25.3 percent clip, so there's not a significant reason to panic about his performance yet. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm

    • Swipes bag in win
Swanson went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Playing against the team that drafted him first overall back in 2015, Swanson notched his first multi-hit performance in 12 days. The shortstop hasn't really gotten going yet, as he's batting just .235 with two home runs and two stolen bases across 18 games. However, Swanson is at no real risk of losing playing time, and he has the talent to heat up in a hurry. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
