    • Report: A’s set to call up Lawrence Butler
The A’s are set to recall Lawrence Butler from Triple-A Las Vegas, according to MLB.com’s Martín Gallegos.

Advice: It’ll be interesting to see what the countermove is here. Unless someone is hurt, perhaps the A’s are ready to give up on Seth Brown or JD Davis. Dropping Daz Cameron seems like the other alternative. Butler has hit .255/.349/.418 since his demotion in May. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
    • Slugs three-run homer in win
Bohm went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Bohm has been on a tear as of late, picking up his fourth consecutive game with multiple hits. He also has an RBI in five straight contests, which is the longest such streak of his career. The 27-year-old is up to 60 RBI this season, good for fourth in the majors. Bohm is in the midst of a breakout campaign with a .307/.359/.489 slash line and seven home runs through 70 games. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Greene knocks in lone Tigers run Monday
Riley Greene went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two walks against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: Greene’s RBI single in the top of the sixth inning gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead, but it was the only run they would score on Monday. Greene’s hitting .254 with an .830 OPS and 37 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Designated for assignment
Davis was designated for assignment by the Athletics on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Davis will now be available to be claimed off waivers and if he has no takers, Oakland is expected to release the 31-year-old. After being released by the Giants in March, Davis compiled a .236 average with four home runs, five RBI and 12 runs scored over 123 at-bats in 39 games with the Athletics this season. Based off his track record, Davis will likely find a new suitor in the near future. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Albies hits game-winning home run Monday
Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Albies’ fifth of the season. His blast off Shelby Miller with two outs in the eighth inning was the difference in the 2-1 victory for Atlanta. Albies’ ISO is now .140 on the season, which is a far cry from the .233 ISO he had last year when he hit 33 home runs in 148 games. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • Homers twice in win
Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a pair of two-run homers and two walks in Monday's 9-2 win over the Padres.

Advice: The veteran slugger got the scoring started for the Phillies in the third inning with a two-run blast off Randy Vasquez and later added another two-run homer off Adrian Morejon in the sixth. It was Schwarber's second multi-HR game this season and the 28th of his career. Schwarber batted .179 in his first seven games of June, but he's found his power stroke of late with five homers over his last seven contests. He's boosted his slash line to a season-best .253/.373/.457, and his 16 home runs are tied for fourth most in the National League. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Olson strikes out eight in no-decision Monday
Reese Olson threw six shutout innings and got a no-decision against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: Olson gave up four hits, walked none and struck out eight. It was a necessary bounce back start for Olson, who had allowed 17 earned runs over his last three starts (10.43 ERA). He left the game with a 1-0 lead, but the Tigers bullpen couldn’t hold it for him. Olson has won one game all year despite a 3.339 ERA in 14 starts. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox at home this weekend.

    • Fried allows one run in no-decision
Max Fried allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Braves’ 2-1 victory over the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Fried gave up four hits, walked three and struck out six. He left the game with two on and one out in the sixth inning, but Jesse Chavez escaped the jam without further damage. It was a solid start for Fried, though the Braves couldn’t provide him with any run support while he was in the game. He continues to have a nice season as he lowered his ERA to 3.11 with the effort. The 30-year-old left-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road this weekend.

    • Kyle Schwarber homers twice, Phillies rout Padres
Kyle Schwarber launched a pair of two-run homers on Monday, leading the Phillies to a 9-2 blowout victory over the Padres.

Advice: Schwarber went deep off Padres starter Randy Vásquez deep in the third inning before taking reliever Adrian Morejon out a couple frames later to record his third multi-homer performance of the season. It’s the second time in the last week that he’s accomplished the feat. The 31-year-old slugger is up to 16 round-trippers on the year and is on pace to eclipse the 40-homer plateau for the third straight campaign. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago
