    • Reports soreness during bullpen
Kershaw (shoulder) reported soreness during Saturday's bullpen session and could have his rehab outing scheduled for Tuesday pushed back, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Kershaw completed three innings in a rehab outing at Single-A Ranchero Cucamonga on Wednesday and was expected to jump up to Triple-A Oklahoma City for Tuesday's outing. However, he may need more time between rehab appearances after feeling soreness in his shoulder during a bullpen session Saturday. Even if Kershaw does have to push back his next outing, he's still not expected back until near the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 4:44 pm

    • Clayton Kershaw dealing with soreness in shoulder
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Clayton Kershaw reported feeling soreness in his left shoulder following a bullpen session earlier in the day.

Advice: It’s not unusual for a pitcher to feel some soreness as they’re getting stretched out after such a long layoff, but he’ll be monitored closely over the next few days. Roberts noted that it’s possible Kershaw’s next minor league rehab start — scheduled for Tuesday at Triple-A Oklahoma City — will need to be pushed back. Rotoworld Today, 4:34 pm

    • Put on IL
Sandoval was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a left elbow strain.

Advice: Sandoval was removed from Friday's start in the third inning with what was initially labeled left forearm tightness, but he's actually dealing with an elbow strain. While he becomes eligible to return from the IL in early July, the Angels could opt to play it safe with the 27-year-old and keep him out until the All-Star break. Guillermo Zuniga was called up in a corresponding move, though Zuniga won't take Sandoval's spot in the rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 4:25 pm
    • Pivetta allows three in no-decision against Reds
Nick Pivetta allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Pivetta gave up six hits, walked one and struck out five. He was on the hook for the loss before a late comeback by the Red Sox offense. It was another pedestrian start from Pivetta that might be becoming a trend. In his first eight starts of the year, he had 51 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings. In his last three starts, he’s had just 13 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home next weekend.

    • Angels place Patrick Sandoval (elbow) on 15-day IL
Angels placed LHP Patrick Sandoval on the 15-day injured list with a left elbow strain.

Advice: No word yet on the result of Sandoval’s MRI exam, but it’s not surprising in the slightest to see him wind up on the injured list after he exited Friday night’s start with tightness in his forearm. It remains unclear how long he’ll ultimately be shelved for. Guillo Zuniga was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 4:21 pm
    • Montas allows two in six innings in no-decision
Frankie Montas allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Montas gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. He was in line for the win until the Reds bullpen gave up the lead in the eighth inning. Montas has now won just one of his last 12 starts, though he was able to post his fourth quality start of the season. His ERA is now 4.48 on the year. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals on the road next weekend.

    • Berrios allows five runs in loss against Guardians
Jose Berrios allowed five runs in five innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.

Advice: Berrios gave up six hits, walked one and struck out three. Home runs have been a problem for Berrios this year and he allowed three more of them on Saturday. He’s now allowed a total of 17 home runs in 16 starts. His 1.58 HR/9 would be a career-high. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees at home next weekend.

    • Lively allows two runs, gets seventh win Saturday
Ben Lively allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Lively gave up three hits, walked two and struck out four. He’s now won five of his last seven starts and has seven wins overall on the season. His ERA is 3.03. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next weekend.

    • Henry hammered for six runs against Phillies
Tommy Henry allowed six runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Henry gave up six hits, walked two and struck out two. He allowed two runs in the first inning on a Bryce Harper RBI single and Nick Castellanos sacrifice fly. Henry allowed back-to-back home runs to Harper and Alec Bohm in the third inning. His ERA is now up to 7.04 with a SO:BB of 30:18 in seven starts. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Athletics at home next weekend if he isn’t optioned to Triple-A before then.
