    • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment. If this is the starting point, he’s going to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor for a long time, even if the plate skills only marginally improve. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • IKF week-to-week with right knee sprain
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is week-to-week with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday that Kiner-Falefa is going to require more than a minimum stay on the injured list after suffering a right knee sprain. There isn’t an official timeline for his return, but the absence of any sort of clarity means he’s most likely out until after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 5:35 pm

    • Jack Flaherty not starting Wednesday vs. Twins
Jack Flaherty will not make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Twins due to an ongoing back issue.

Advice: Flaherty remained back in Los Angeles following last Thursday’s lackluster start against the Angels where he allowed five runs over 5 2/3 innings to receive a pain-reducing injection in his back. The 28-year-old righty, who has been excellent this season in his Detroit debut, is expected to take the ball next week against the Twins. It doesn’t sound like he’ll require a trip to the injured list, but back issues can be complicated matters and could certainly impact his on-field performance moving forward. • Vlad Jr. returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Astros
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (finger) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Astros.

Advice: Guerrero is back at first base and batting third after being scratched from Monday’s series opener due to right finger discomfort after being hit by a pitch over the weekend. The 25-year-old fantasy stalwart has been sizzling-hot at the dish over the last few weeks, batting .365 (23-for-63) with six homers and 20 RBI over his last 15 games. Rotoworld Today, 1:47 pm
    • Skipping start this week
Flaherty will receive a second pain-killing injection in his back and will have his next start pushed back to next week, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Flaherty had been slated to start Wednesday in Minnesota but will be held back until next week for a home matchup against the Guardians. It's worrisome that Flaherty has now had two turns skipped over the last month with back problems, but it appears he will again avoid a stint on the injured list. Keider Montero will start Wednesday in Flaherty's place. Rotowire.com Today, 1:44 pm

    • Returns to Toronto lineup
Guerrero (finger) will start at first base and bat third in Tuesday's game versus the Astros.

Advice: Guerrero was removed from Sunday's game after being hit in the right hand by a pitch and didn't play Monday due to swelling in the fourth and fifth fingers on his right hand. However, he's feeling well enough to give it a go Tuesday as the Blue Jays continue their series against the Astros. Rotowire.com Today, 1:27 pm
    • Hitting injured list
Kiner-Falefa was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee sprain.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa was scratched from Monday's game with a left knee injury and an MRI revealed he's only dealing with a sprain. Still, the utility player will require an IL stint, opening up a spot on the active roster for Leo Jimenez. Kiner-Falefa is slashing .292/.338/.420 with a 13.2 percent K rate this season. • Blue Jays place Kiner-Falefa (knee) on 10-day IL
Blue Jays placed INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Falefa was scratched from Monday’s lineup due to pain in his left knee, and the Blue Jays will have the infielder miss at least a week-plus while he gets better. He underwent an MRI after the injury, and while the results haven’t been made public yet, it couldn’t have been too good of news if he’s going to miss time. Leo Jimenez has been recalled from Triple-A to replace Kiner-Falefa on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 12:21 pm

    • MacKenzie Gore denied win after strong showing
MacKenzie Gore allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings and struck out eight Monday against the Mets.

Advice: Gore was at 104 pitches, so it’s kind or understandable that he was pulled in the sixth. Still, he seemed to be very much in control at that point. He’d given up just a soft single before rebounding to retire the next two batters in the sixth. The Nationals pulled him with a 2-0 lead in favor of Derek Law, and the Mets, aided by a CJ Abrams error, went on to score three runs in the frame. That Gore didn’t get a win will probably save the Nationals about $100,000 in arbitration this winter, so they have that going for them. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
