Jordan Hicks strikes out seven, allows three vs. Cubs
Jordan Hicks gave up three runs in five innings while striking out seven against the Cubs on Thursday, but he didn’t factor into the decision.
Advice: All three runs were given up in the third, as he gave up a two-run homer to Nico Hoerner and an RBI triple to Seiya Suzuki. The right-hander was strong outside of that frame while showing off his swing-and-miss stuff. In his first season with the Giants, Hicks had a 3.36 ERA, 76/33 K/BB and 1.28 WHIP across 85 1/3 innings in his 17 starts.
