    • Injury further clarified
Stanek's exit from Sunday's game against the Angels after facing just one batter was due to back spasms, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Stanek issued a four-pitch walk to Mickey Moniak and was then visited by manager Scott Servais and a trainer before being pulled from the game. Servais subsequently clarified that back spasms were the source of the abrupt exit but did not provide any semblance of a return timetable for Stanek. The right-hander will naturally have an opportunity to recover during the All-Star break, but whether that will be enough time for Stanek to regain full health remains to be seen. • Blasts clutch three-run homer
Adell went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Sunday's win over the Mariners.

Advice: Adell came through in the clutch with a three-run homer off Austin Voth in the eighth inning to put the Angels in front 3-2. He heads into the All-Star break with five RBI over his last three games but is still struggling mightily on the whole this year. The 25-year-old is slashing .190/.255/.399 with 15 homers, 43 RBI, 36 runs and a 20:86 BB:K in 290 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:02 am

    • Clubs 19th homer
Alonso went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: He got the Mets on the board in the fourth inning by crushing a German Marquez two-seamer deep to left field. Alonso snapped an 11-game homer drought with the blast, and he heads into the All-Star break -- and an appearance in the Home Run Derby -- slashing .240/.319/.454 with 19 homers and 51 RBI in 95 contests. • Jo Adell’s homer propels Angels past Mariners
Jo Adell homered in the bottom of the eighth to supply all three Angels runs in a 3-2 win over the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Adell’s homer came off Austin Voth after Ryne Stanek left due to injury. He drove in five of the Angels’ 11 runs in the team’s three wins over the Mariners the last three days. Perhaps his seven-week slump is finally coming to an end, though now he’ll have to avoid the rust that comes with four days off. He finishes the first half at .190/.255/.399 in 291 plate appearance. • Wins third straight start
Taillon (7-4) allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out three without walking a batter over 5.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cardinals.

Advice: Taillon came an out shy of his seventh straight quality start, but he was still able to capture his third win in a row. He's also given up a home run in six straight starts, as Alec Burleson tagged him for a solo shot in the sixth inning. Taillon is now at a 3.10 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 75:18 K:BB through 93 innings over 16 starts this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:45 pm

    • Ryne Stanek leaves game with apparent injury
Ryne Stanek was removed from Sunday’s outing against the Angels in the eighth inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: The 32-year-old hurler took over for Logan Gilbert in the eighth inning and issued a four-pitch walk to Mickey Moniak on which none of the offerings were particularly close. Something looked off, which prompted a visit from the training staff and his ultimate removal from the ballgame. He’ll head for further evaluation to determine exactly what’s going on there. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:36 pm

    • Exits with trainer
Stanek left Sunday's game against the Angels after walking the first batter he faced in the eighth inning on four straight balls, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.

Advice: Stanek came on in the eighth to protect a 2-0 lead after Logan Gilbert fired seven scoreless frames. All four of Stanek's pitches were well off the plate, and he left with a trainer. Andres Munoz, who was already the top Mariners reliever to roster in fantasy, should get the save chances going forward. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:31 pm

    • Taillon survives in win over Cardinals
Jameson Taillon allowed three runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

Advice: Taillon allowed just two extra-base hits but nine hard-hit baseballs on the day. He posted an underwhelming 13 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW on the day, but will certainly take the win. The veteran has a solid 3.10 ERA on the season and could be an attractive name at the trade deadline. He’s a risky streamer against the Diamondbacks on Sunday after the All-Star break, but he’s pitching well enough to take the gamble. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:01 pm

    • Bichette (calf) sits out first half finale Sunday
Bo Bichette (calf) was held out of the Blue Jays’ starting lineup for Sunday’s first half finale against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: While the 26-year-old shortstop showed improvement over the weekend, the Jays’ thought it made more sense to keep him out of action and give him the extended rest with the All-Star break coming up. Once again, Leo Jimenez will start in his place at shortstop and he’ll bat seventh against Zac Gallen and the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:12 pm
