• Called up by A's
The Athletics recalled Bido from Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Advice: Bido will join the big-league roster for the second time this season, taking the place of Vinny Nittoli, who was DFA'd in a corresponding move. Bido made a spot start in his only MLB appearance this season, yielding four runs across 2.2 innings before being removed with a blister. However, Bido will likely operate out of the bullpen during this stint with Oakland. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

  • Athletics recall Osvaldo Bido from Triple-A
Athletics recalled RHP Osvaldo Bido from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Advice: The 28-year-old hurler has made just one appearance with the A’s this season, posting a 13.50 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and a 4/2 K/BB ratio over 2 2/3 innings in his lone start. Presumably, he’s up to add some length to a depleted Athletics’ bullpen, but we’ll wait and see how he’s utilized. Vinny Nittoli was designated for assignment in a corresponding move on Friday. • Another rehab start on tap
Cabrera (shoulder) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts across three innings at Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday. He's scheduled to pitch again Tuesday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Advice: Although Cabrera was pegged for the loss Wednesday, he turned in a quality showing in his first minor-league rehab appearance. The 26-year-old is expected to throw four innings or roughly 60 pitches Tuesday as the Marlins work to get Cabrera stretched out and ready to rejoin the big-league rotation. It's unclear if he'll require another appearance at Jacksonville before being activated. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

Perez (groin) will pitch for Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Per Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com, Perez is expected to throw roughly 75 pitches Saturday as his only rehab start. Prior to the injury, Perez held a 4.71 ERA and a 1.55 WHIP across 57.1 innings with Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com Today, 11:48 am

Jesus Luzardo (back) won’t start for the Marlins on Saturday, according to Daniel Alvarez-Montes.
