    • Logan O’Hoppe (groin) listed as day-to-day
Logan O’Hoppe said a major injury has been ruled out after he took a foul ball to the groin area during Tuesday’s game.

Advice: O’Hoppe was still hurting after the game, but it sounds like there’s a chance he could be ready to go on Wednesday. If not, Matt Thaiss will start. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:26 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe exits after getting hit by foul ball
Logan O’Hoppe left Tuesday’s game in the sixth inning after taking a foul ball to the groin area.

Advice: Matt Thaiss replaced him. O’Hoppe had a double in three at-bats before exiting. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:58 pm
    • McMahon hits 11th homer of season vs. Twins
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Both of McMahon’s hits went for extra bases, but it was his homer in the eighth inning that stretched the Rockies’ lead to 5-2. It was McMahon’s 11th homer on the season and his first of June after he slugged six in May. He’s slashing a meager .154/.214/.282 on the month and has seen his average regress back to the norm after hitting over .300 the first month of the season.

    • Christopher Morel has two hits, HR in loss
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home runs and two runs scored in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Morel crushed a 409-foot home run off of Zach Eflin for his 13th home run on the season. Both of his hits were at least 102.7 mph, but he also struck out once in the game, so he showed his full profile. The 24-year-old is hitting just .208 on the year, so even though the power is undeniable, he’ll need to keep producing like this if he wants to remain a fixture in the lineup as the Cubs make a playoff push over the summer. • Pops 13th home run
Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Morel connected for this third home run of the month and 13th of the season in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old is now halfway to his long ball total from last year through 66 games. Morel only needed 107 contests to record those 26 homers in 2023, but he seems primed to play more games this season if he stays healthy, and that could result in a new career best in the power department. • Taking on-field BP
Edman (wrist) will take batting practice on the field at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: The switch-hitting Edman was recently cleared to hit from both sides of the plate and will now progress to taking on-field BP for the first time since last October's right wrist surgery. Edman's progress from the operation has been slow and involved numerous starts and stops, but he's been trending in a positive direction for the last few weeks and he might not be far off from a rehab assignment. • Tommy Edman (wrist) takes on-field batting practice
Tommy Edman (wrist) progressed to taking on-field batting practice on Tuesday for the first time since offseason wrist surgery.

Advice: The big question for fantasy managers is when will Edman be ready for a minor league rehab assignment? The 29-year-old switch-hitting center fielder has progressed to hitting from both sides of the plate and doesn’t appear far off from getting into minor league contests. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:30 pm

    • Monster day at plate
O'Hoppe went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, a steal and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: O'Hoppe tallied his second four-hit game of the season and also managed to swipe his first base of the year. Most of his damage came in the later innings, as he scored all three of his runs over the final four frames. He saved his biggest hit of the day for last, as he took Josh Hader deep on the first pitch he saw to walk things off for the Angels and cap off an excellent offensive showing. O'Hoppe is now riding a mini four-game hit streak and has eight hits over that span. After his monstrous performance, the 24-year-old backstop is slashing .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 27 runs and a 13:51 BB:K in 209 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:19 am
    • Logan O’Hoppe fills up box score, walks off Astros
Logan O’Hoppe had a monster day at the dish in Sunday’s 9-7 victory over the Astros, going 4-for-5 with a double and a walk-off home run.

Advice: The hard-hitting 24-year-old backstop reached on an error to start the sixth inning, swiped second base and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Mickey Moniak. He then led off the eighth inning with a double and scored on an RBI double by Zach Neto as the Angels rallied to tie the game. O’Hoppe saved the best for last though, tagging Astros’ closer Josh Hader for a 364-foot (96.4 mph EV) two-run blast on the first pitch that he saw in the ninth inning — sending the home faithful into a frenzy. With his four-hit afternoon, O’Hoppe is now hitting .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 22 RBI and one solitary stolen base. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:54 pm
