• Tommy Pham goes deep as White Sox fall to Tigers
Tommy Pham clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Friday night, accounting for the White Sox’ lone run in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Pham turned on a first-pitch changeup from Jack Flaherty in the fifth inning and tucked a 370-foot (112.4 mph EV) solo shot just inside the foul pole in left field to get the White Sox on the board and trim their deficit to 2-1. That would be the extent of the scoring in the ballgame. The 36-year-old outfielder finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .282/.353/.410 to go with four long balls and 14 RBI. • Erick Fedde pitches well in loss to Tigers Friday
Erick Fedde pitched well in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday night, allowing just two runs on five hits over seven strong innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander punched out three batters on the evening while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came on one mighty swing of the bat by Carson Kelly on a 2-1 sweeper in the second inning. He settled in beautifully after that and retired the final 14 batters that he faced in the contest, but the White Sox were unable to provide the requisite support. Fedde got 12 whiffs on 92 pitches on the night — six on his sinker — while registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll carry a 5-2 record, 3.05 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and an 86/24 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s showdown against the Dodgers. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

  • Transferred to 60-day IL
The Dodgers Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times Muncy (oblique) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jack Harris reports.

Advice: Muncy was placed on the 10-day IL on May 17 due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. It took him nearly a month to begin taking dry swings and he has been limited to fielding grounders and running the bases. With more steps needed before beginning a rehab assignment, the Dodgers opted to move Muncy to the 60-day IL on Friday, meaning he won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers activated Kyle Hurt (shoulder) from the 60-day IL and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, per Harris. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

  • Confirmed to start Saturday
Plesac will start Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After posting a quality start his Angels debut, Plesac will get another go-around in the rotation as a fill-in for Jose Soriano (abdomen) who's on the 15-day IL. While Plesac only allowed three runs in his first start, he surrendered a pair of home runs and will face a power-heavy Dodgers lineup Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 5:01 pm
  • Late addition to Friday's lineup
Stefanic is starting at second base and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Dodgers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Stefanic was inserted into Friday's lineup after Brandon Drury was scratched due to an illness. Since being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on June 8, Stefanic has played in seven major-league games, going 6-for-22 with four RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 4:58 pm

  • Scratched Friday with illness
Drury was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Dodgers due to an illness, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After being scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to an illness, Drury was set to return to action Friday following the team's off day Thursday. The illness appears to have lingered around, however, and Drury will sit out for at least one more game. Michael Stefanic will start at second base and bat eighth against Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. Rotowire.com Today, 4:52 pm

  • Set for rehab start Tuesday
Kershaw (shoulder) will make his second rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Kershaw made his first rehab outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, when he allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings. His fastball reached 90 miles per hour, which was right around his velocity in the 2023 regular season. Kershaw will need multiple rehab outings before joining the Dodgers' rotation, which could happen around the All-Star break in mid-July. Rotowire.com Today, 4:28 pm

  • Clayton Kershaw to make second rehab start Tuesday
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) will make his second minor league rehab start at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Advice: The 36-year-old southpaw threw 36 pitches over three innings in his first minor league rehab start at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. Expect that he’ll build up to around 50 pitches during Tuesday’s outing. The original expectation was that Kershaw would require around four minor league rehab starts before he was ready to join the Dodgers’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm
