• Marcus Semien plates three runs to lead Rangers
Marcus Semien delivered a bases-clearing three-run double in the sixth inning on Friday night, propelling the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Royals.

Advice: The Rangers had just taken the lead as Jonah Heim plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Semien then followed by smacking a two-out, three-run double off of Sammy Long to break the game wide open. It was the only hit of the game in four at-bats for Semien, but it proved to be the difference-maker. On the season, the 33-year-old infielder is now hitting .252/.319/.419 with 11 homers, 43 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:50 pm
  • Was available Friday
Manager Aaron Boone said Torres (groin) was available Friday against Atlanta, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Despite being available, Torres never entered the game, leaving his status for Saturday's contest ambiguous. Jahmai Jones or Oswaldo Cabrera would likely enter the lineup if Torres is forced to miss a second consecutive game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 pm

  • Jahmai Jones triples and scores for Yankees
Jahmai Jones went 1-for-3 with a triple, walk, and run scored Friday against the Braves.

Advice: The Yankees’ offense was held to just one run and three hits in this one as Chris Sale and the Braves’ bullpen shut them down. Jones was the lone bright spot in just his fourth start of the season. It’s unlikely he earns a legitimate role but could get a handful more spot starts as long as Gleyber Torres remains out with a groin injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:27 pm

  • Four hits, three RBI in win
Iglesias went 4-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in Friday's 11-1 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Iglesias was active early, singling and scoring a run in the second inning, hitting an RBI single in the third and adding a two-run single in the fourth. He later added another base hit in the seventh. Iglesias has gone an impressive 14-for-32 with six RBI and five runs scored in his return to the majors while primarily starting at second base against left-handed pitchers. • Late addition to Friday's lineup
Stefanic is starting at second base and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Dodgers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Stefanic was inserted into Friday's lineup after Brandon Drury was scratched due to an illness. Since being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on June 8, Stefanic has played in seven major-league games, going 6-for-22 with four RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:58 pm
  • Scratched Friday with illness
Drury was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Dodgers due to an illness, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After being scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to an illness, Drury was set to return to action Friday following the team's off day Thursday. The illness appears to have lingered around, however, and Drury will sit out for at least one more game. Michael Stefanic will start at second base and bat eighth against Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:52 pm

  • Brandon Drury (illness) scratched again on Friday
Brandon Drury was scratched from the Angels’ starting lineup once again on Friday night due to illness.

Advice: Drury was scratched from the team’s lineup on Wednesday due to illness as well. The Angels had been hopeful that he would return to the lineup on Friday night, but he was still feeling a bit under the weather. He’s still considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup as early as Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm

  • Returns to lineup
Drury (illness) is batting sixth and playing second base Friday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Drury was a late scratch Wednesday due to illness but after a team day off Thursday, he's feeling good enough to play. The second baseman is 1-for-6 since returning from the IL on Monday and owns a .469 OPS on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:48 pm

  • Hits 10-day IL
Amador (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday.

Advice: Amador suffered a right oblique strain in Thursday's game against the Dodgers, a injury similar to one he sustained earlier in the season at Double-A Hartford. Considering Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) is healthy and Amador put up a .394 OPS in 10 big-league games, the 21-year-old doesn't have a clear path to at-bats in Colorado.
