      Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Machado has gone 14-for-38 (.368) over his last 10 contests, adding two homers and eight RBI in that span. The third baseman opened the scoring when he took MacKenzie Gore deep in the first inning Tuesday. Machado is still playing catch-up after a slow start to the campaign, but he's up to a .260/.314/.389 slash line with eight homers, 40 RBI, 34 runs scored and five stolen bases through 76 contests.       Advice: Clase was called upon to protect a 10-8 lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 14 pitches. Clase has eight saves in June and leads the American League with 25 total saves in what has been an amazing 2024 campaign.       Lugo did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Miami, allowing two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander was in line for his 11th win when departing this outing, only to be let down by his bullpen. With this scoreless performance, Lugo collected his third straight quality start and lowered his June ERA to 3.69 over 31.2 innings with a 29:8 K:BB. Overall, he sports a 2.29 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 95:26 K:BB across 110 innings this season. Lugo is currently slated to make one more start this month against Cleveland at home this weekend.       Seth Lugo pitched six scoreless innings while striking out eight in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

      Advice: Lugo allowed just two hits and four total baserunners on the night, doing his part to stifle a Marlins lineup that hasn’t struck fear in too many pitchers this season. Unfortunately for Lugo, the slim 1-0 lead he exited with was last in the seventh inning when reliever Carlos Hernández allowed an RBI single to Nick Gordon to tie the game. Regardless of the outcome, it was a solid night for Lugo, who lowered his ERA to 2.29 on the season.       Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: Judge had an RBI double in the seventh inning with the Yankees down by seven but then crushed a 390-foot grand slam at 109.4 mph that brought the Yankees within two. While the bottom of the Yankees lineup may not be particularly deep, they still have Aaron Judge, which will always make them a threat. The big right fielder now has 29 home runs and 75 RBI already this season, which seems like video game numbers. You’re feeling great if you were able to take him with your first-round pick.     • George Springer finds power stroke in win
      George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out.       Lopez won't face the Cardinals on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Tuesday's game will be made up Wednesday as part of a doubleheader, and Lopez will get the nod to start the earlier of the two games. The 30-year-old righty hasn't allowed an earned run in 11 innings over his last two starts and will be facing a Cardinals offense that currently ranks 10th in the NL with a .687 OPS.       Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Orioles to record his 25th save of the season.

      Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning at Camden Yards and managed to work around a one-out double from pinch-hitter Cedric Mullins to notch another save.       Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

      Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly.
