Doyle went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo homer, a walk and an additional RBI during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: The 26-year-old opened the series with two homers Monday and followed up with two more extra-base hits in Tuesday's contest. Doyle went 5-for-40 over the final 10 games of June but has quickly turned things around after the calendar flipped to July. He's now tied last season's total of 10 home runs and has a .264/.328/.424 slash line with 32 RBI, 49 runs and 20 steals through 81 games. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago

    • Brenton Doyle homers again in loss to Brewers
Brenton Doyle homered for the third time in his last two games on Tuesday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Brewers at Coors Field.

Advice: Doyle got the Rockies on the board an evened the score at a run apiece with his 374-foot (94.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Dallas Keuchel in the second inning. He also smacked a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning that briefly gave the Rockies a 3-2 advantage. The dynamic outfielder finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting .264/.328/.424 with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 20 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 9:14 pm

    • Hits three-run homer in win
Rafaela went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela hit a three-run home run off Valente Bellozo in the fourth inning to break the game open for the Red Sox. He hit .315 in June and stayed productive to open July with his first home run since June 17. On the season, the 23-year-old is hitting .244 with nine home runs, 44 RBI, 40 runs scored and 10 steals over 304 plate appearances while primarily splitting time between center field and shortstop. • Cease allows six earned, two homers vs. Rangers
Dylan Cease allowed eight hits and six earned runs over 3 2/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Cease had an up-and-down first inning. While he recorded all three of his outs via the strikeout, he allowed two hits, with the second coming on a two-run homer by Nathaniel Lowe to give the Rangers an early lead. It would only get worse from there, as Cease would give up another two-run bomb to Lowe in the third inning and was pulled in the fourth inning shortly after allowing a sixth run off a Marcus Semien single. It’s been a rough stretch for Cease, who has allowed 17 earned runs over his last 19 innings while striking out 29 batters and walking nine. Cease will look to bounce back in his next outing, which is set for Sunday against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm
    • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment. If this is the starting point, he’s going to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor for a long time, even if the plate skills only marginally improve. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm
    • Jack Flaherty not starting Wednesday vs. Twins
Jack Flaherty will not make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the Twins due to an ongoing back issue.

Advice: Flaherty remained back in Los Angeles following last Thursday’s lackluster start against the Angels where he allowed five runs over 5 2/3 innings to receive a pain-reducing injection in his back. The 28-year-old righty, who has been excellent this season in his Detroit debut, is expected to take the ball next week against the Twins. It doesn’t sound like he’ll require a trip to the injured list, but back issues can be complicated matters and could certainly impact his on-field performance moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 2:02 pm
    • Skipping start this week
Flaherty will receive a second pain-killing injection in his back and will have his next start pushed back to next week, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Flaherty had been slated to start Wednesday in Minnesota but will be held back until next week for a home matchup against the Guardians. It's worrisome that Flaherty has now had two turns skipped over the last month with back problems, but it appears he will again avoid a stint on the injured list. Keider Montero will start Wednesday in Flaherty's place. Rotowire.com Today, 1:44 pm
    • Jesse Winker sits on Tuesday against southpaw
Jesse Winker is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: It seems like a matchup-driven decision with lefty Sean Manaea toeing the rubber for New York, but it’s worth noting that Winker has missed a pair of contests since suffering a knee contusion last Friday. He’s probably fine, but it’s something fantasy managers should keep an eye on as the week progresses. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker will dodge a matchup with southpaw Sean Manaea on Tuesday. Harold Ramirez will bat third and DH. Rotowire.com Today, 12:55 pm
