Gavin Lux goes 0-for-4 against Diamondbacks
Gavin Lux finished 0-for-4 in the loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Advice: The Dodgers’ patience still hasn’t paid off with Lux, who is hitting just .214/.267/.291 through 251 plate appearances. His Statcast numbers aren’t as bad as the line suggests, but they’re also not as good as they were in the two years before he missed all of last season with a torn ACL. On the plus side, his defense, which seemed poised to be a major problem early on, has actually been above average after the move back to second. It makes sense for the Dodgers to try to do better, but at the same time, the more confident they feel in Miguel Rojas, the less they have the need to make a move, since they could always plug in Mookie Betts at second after he returns in August.
