    • Returns from bruised elbow
Megill (elbow) threw a perfect inning while striking out three Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Megill appeared in the seventh inning in a tied game. Megill was struck on the right elbow by a comebacker in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs. X-rays came back negative, but he still needed a few days off. It looks like he's back to full speed and should step back into the closer mix despite appearing earlier in the game Saturday. • Robert Gasser gives up two homers, three runs
Robert Gasser gave up three runs in five innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gasser gave up seven hits — two of those homers — while striking out three and not issuing a walk. It’s a bit of a disappointing effort considering how bad Chicago’s lineup is, but credit to the 25-year-old for limiting the damage to just the roundtrippers. He’ll have a chance to lower his 2.57 ERA against the Tigers next weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:18 pm
    • Allows three runs vs. White Sox
Gasser didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out three in five innings.

Advice: All three of the runs against Gasser came via the home run ball Saturday -- an Andrew Benintendi solo shot in the third inning followed by a two-run blast off the bat of Gavin Sheets in the fourth. It's just the second time in five starts that Gasser's allowed more than one run. Overall, the left-hander is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 16 strikeouts while issuing just one walk through his first 28 innings. Gasser is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:07 pm
    • Ryan Mountcastle homers twice in O’s victory
Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with two homers, three runs scored, four RBI, and a walk to power the Orioles to a 9-5 victory over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Mountcastle sent one deep over the center field walk for a two-run blast off Taj Bradley in the first inning. He drew a walk to lead off the third and scored on a base hit by Jordan Westburg before taking Bradley deep once again for another two-run shot in the fourth. The 27-year-old first baseman breaks a 17-game home run drought with the two-homer day. He’s slashing .293/.333/.505 with eight home runs, 31 runs scored, and 24 RBI across 213 plate appearances. • Jordan Westburg homers in return to lineup
Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Westburg returned to the lineup after missing two games with a hand injury and looked just fine at the plate. He took Taj Bradley deep for a solo homer to lead off the second inning. He drove in a second run with a single in the third and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Mateo. The 25-year-old infielder has enjoyed a breakout season, hitting .295/.354/.523 with nine homers, 36 RBI, and five steals across 213 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:05 pm

    • Yandy DĂaz triples, drives in three in loss
Yandy DĂaz went 1-for-4 with a triple and three RBI against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: DĂaz brought two runs in to score with a line drive off the right field wall as he legged out a triple in the second inning. He was credited with a third RBI after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the third. The 32-year-old first baseman is slashing .243/.320/.350 with four homers and 28 RBI across 253 plate appearances. • Kyle Bradish surrenders five runs in no-decision
Kyle Bradish allowed five runs with six strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Bradish was able to work around a pair of hits in the first inning, but allowed three runs in to score in the second on three singles and a triple. Things fell apart for Bradish in the third. A wild pitch put a runner on before he walked three straight batters to bring a run in. He was replaced with two outs in the inning at 76 pitches. He struck out six. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.18 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 40/14 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings into a start against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Thursday. • Trevor Megill (elbow) returns to action Saturday
Trevor Megill (elbow) returned to action on Saturday and looked no worse for the wear, striking out all three batters that he faced in a scoreless inning against the White Sox.

Advice: It wasn’t a save chance, as it was the seventh inning of a game where the Brewers trailed 3-1, but it was nice to see Megill look as dominant as ever after taking a scary line drive off of his arm during Monday’s game. He needed just 14 pitches (nine strikes) to dispatch of Zach Remillard, Tommy Pham and Korey Lee in order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:15 pm
    • Breather Saturday
Kwan is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus Washington.

Advice: Kwan will head to the bench after he went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in his return to the lineup Friday after missing nearly four weeks with a hamstring injury. David Fry will slot in at left field while Kyle Manzardo enters the lineup at designated hitter and bats sixth against the Nationals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:23 am
