    • Logan Webb makes swift work of D-backs in win
Logan Webb fired seven shutout innings on Thursday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Webb retired a career-high 19 consecutive batters following back-to-back singles from Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll, respectively, to open the contest before issuing a one-out walk to Christian Walker in the seventh inning. The 27-year-old workhorse, who finished with five strikeouts and only issued one walk, completed seven frames for the third consecutive start in this one. He’ll bring a sparkling 2.93 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 22/6 K/BB ratio across 30 2/3 innings (five starts) into another home outing on Tuesday against the Mets. Rotoworld Today, 8:57 pm

    • Brandon Drury (hamstring) pinch-hits on Thursday
Brandon Drury (hamstring) grounded out as a pinch-hitter on Thursday in the Angels’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: Drury was held out of the lineup for the third consecutive contest due to ongoing left hamstring tightness, but was able to come off the bench in the ninth inning of this one. The 31-year-old infielder remains day-to-day for now and should be a full-go in a couple days, if not sooner. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm

    • Keeps slugging Wednesday
Henderson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Henderson has six homers on the year, including one in each of the last three games. He's also posted four straight multi-hit efforts. The shortstop is thriving as the leadoff hitter in a strong offense, slashing .288/.346/.603 with four stolen bases, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored through 18 contests overall. • Smacks fifth homer
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He drove the second big-league pitch of Landon Knack's career over the fence in right-center field, giving the Nats all the offense they would need as Jake Irvin and the bullpen combined for a shutout. Abrams launched a career-high 18 homers in 2023 but is well ahead of that pace to begin this season, slashing .295/.358/.656 with five home runs, three steals, 10 runs and 11 RBI in 15 games. • Gets rest day
O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: He'll receive a breather for the day game after drawing starts at catcher both of the past two days. Matt Thaiss will check in behind the plate and will form a battery with starting pitcher Griffin Canning. Rotowire.com Today, 7:40 am
    • Improves to 2-0
Blackburn (2-0) allowed three runs on six hits and five walks over 5.2 innings in a win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. He struck out seven.

Advice: Blackburn struggled with his command out of the gate, surrendering a leadoff single to open the game before walking two batters in the first inning. He then went 1-2-3 through the next two innings, even striking out the side in the second, but was tagged for three runs in the fourth after allowing three consecutive hits to begin the frame. The right-hander had not allowed a run through his first three starts coming into Wednesday's matchup, while it also marked the first time this season in which he failed to make it through at least six innings. Blackburn also recorded a season-high seven strikeouts in the win and currently holds a 1.08 ERA on the season, though he's now issued seven walks over his last two starts. • Blasts third home run
Carpenter went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Carpenter has been playing well lately, recording a .321 batting average and four extra-base hits across his last 10 games. While he generally sits against southpaws, Carpenter feasts on righties, and that should allow him to remain a solid fantasy asset moving forward. The 26-year-old broke out last year with 20 home runs, 64 RBI and an .811 OPS, and he could surpass all of those numbers in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm

    • Cranks third home run
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Bellinger is off to a bit of a slow start, with just a .200 batting average, a .667 OPS and three home runs across 18 games. However, he is now riding a modest four-game hitting streak, and perhaps Wednesday's long ball will give him another boost of momentum. Bellinger batted .307 with an .881 OPS and 26 home runs a season ago, so the upside is certainly there. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm

    • Brandon Drury held out of lineup again Wednesday
Brandon Drury (hamstring) was held out of the Angels’ starting lineup once again on Wednesday.

Advice: Angels’ skipper Ron Washington told reporters that Drury won’t start on Thursday either and will be limited to pinch-hitting duties, as they’re trying to protect his hamstring injury from the turf at Tropicana Field. Look for Luis Rengifo to continue to cover second base in his absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:05 pm
