    • Lifts seventh homer
Vientos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Vientos has two homers over his last four contests after going deep in the eighth inning Sunday. The third baseman is up to seven long balls, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases while slashing .289/.344/.526 over 125 plate appearances. Vientos has been operating in a starting role at the hot corner since Brett Baty was demoted to Triple-A Syracuse at the end of May. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 8:25 pm

    • Strikes out 10 in win
Severino (5-2) allowed three hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over six scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday over the Cubs.

Advice: Severino was dealing, making a great rebound after getting touched up for six runs versus the Rangers in his last start. He's posted a quality start in four of his last six outings, allowing 14 runs (13 earned) with a 27:8 K:BB across 38.2 innings in that span. The right-hander is at a 3.29 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 71:31 K:BB through 90.1 innings across 15 starts, with Sunday's start being the fourth time he's avoided issuing a walk this season. Severino is projected to make his next start at home versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 8:05 pm
    • Collects fourth straight win
Myers (5-2) allowed one run on five hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres.

Advice: Myers is undefeated in June, going 4-0 with just two runs allowed over 25.1 innings across four starts. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB over 52 innings through 11 appearances (10 starts) this season. Sunday was the first time since May 31 that he didn't pitch past the fifth inning -- he exited with 78 pitches (56 strikes). He's tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Cubs. • Mark Vientos launches solo homer as Mets roll
Mark Vientos smashed his seventh home run of the season on Sunday night as the Mets took care of business against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Advice: The 24-year-old third baseman demolished a 451-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Tyson Miller in the eighth inning that extended the Mets’ lead to 5-2. That would be his lone hit in four at-bats on the night. For the season, he’s hitting a healthy .289/.344/.526 with seven homers and 18 RBI. Rotoworld Jun 23, 7:22 pm

    • Luis Severino dominates in victory over Cubs
Luis Severino delivered a dominant performance in Sunday night’s victory over the Cubs, piling up 10 strikeouts over six innings of shutout baseball.

Advice: The right-hander allowed just three hits on the night — all of them singles — and didn’t walk a batter. Severino generated 14 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his heater which averaged 96.8 mph in the contest — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 5-2 on the season, Severino will carry a 3.29 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 71/31 K/BB ratio (90 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s showdown against the Astros. Rotoworld Jun 23, 7:21 pm
    • Picks up save Sunday
Jansen allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn a save over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Jansen worked around a two-out single to finish off the 7-4 game. It was about as efficient of an outing as it gets, as he threw 11 of his 12 pitches for strikes. He's now converted 15 of his 16 save chances this season, including 11 straight. Jansen has produced a 2.29 ERA since his last blown save April 16, lowering his season mark to 2.39. • Throws eight shutout innings
Lopez (7-6) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out 14 over eight shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.

Advice: Lopez retired the first 17 batters he faced before Lawrence Butler's sixth-inning single. This was Lopez's first scoreless outing of the season as well as his longest start, and the 14 strikeouts were a season high. He'd given up 14 runs over 13 innings across his first three starts in June. Even with this gem, Lopez has a 5.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 101:19 K:BB through 88 innings across 16 starts this year. Considering he's posted a career-worst 1.6 HR/9, it's likely a fair amount of his struggles have come from bad luck with the long ball, as the rest of his underlying numbers are in line with his usual level of performance. Lopez is lined up to make his next start at Seattle. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 6:59 pm
    • Doubles twice, drives in three
Pena went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's win against the Orioles.

Advice: Pena hit an RBI double in the first inning before knocking a two-run double in the sixth. He'd been stuck in a 6-for-49 (.122) slump since his last multi-hit game June 5. Pena's homerless drought has now reached 31 games, and he's attempted only one steal in his last 15 contests. Still, he bumped his season slash line up to .280/.316/.382 through 314 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Jun 23, 6:36 pm

    • Pablo López strikes out 14 in victory over A’s
Pablo López delivered his finest start of the season on Sunday, racking up 14 strikeouts over eight innings of shutout baseball in a victory over the Athletics.

Advice: López allowed just two hits — both of them singles — and one walk on the brilliant afternoon. The 28-year-old hurler bounced back in a huge way after being shelled by the Rays his last time out, looking like the star hurler that we saw dominating on a nightly basis for the Twins during the 2023 campaign. He piled up 19 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 10 of those on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll see if he can build off of this start and further improve upon his 5.11 ERA and 1.17 WHIP when he takes the mound against the Mariners in Seattle on Saturday. Rotoworld Jun 23, 4:18 pm
