    • Swats extra-inning homer
Alonso went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Nationals in 10 innings.

Advice: Alonso capped off the Mets' five-run 10th inning with a two-run blast off Robert Garcia, the first baseman's 18th home run of the campaign. He's riding a six-game hit streak, batting 8-for-24 (.333) with six runs and five RBI during that span. Alonso owns an .811 OPS with a 20.3 percent strikeout rate. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

    • Bobby Miller strikes out four in no-decision
Bobby Miller pitched decently in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday evening, allowing two runs on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the night while issuing three free passes. All of the damage done against him came on one mighty swing of the bat by Christian Walker in the fourth inning. Miller generated 10 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night — seven of those on his heater which averaged 96.5 mph — while posting a CSW of 23 percent. Miller now sports a 6.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and a 25/15 K/BB ratio over 25 innings through his first six starts on the season. He’ll look to get back in the win column when he squares off against the Brewers at home on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:06 pm
    • Goes five innings in no-decision
Miller allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Miller was responsible for a game-tying two-run home run by Christian Walker in the fourth inning. This was Miller's third start since he returned from shoulder inflammation, but he's given up 10 runs over 13.1 innings with a 7:9 K:BB across those outings. Overall, he's at a 6.12 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 25:15 K:BB through 25 innings over six starts this season. Miller is still likely trying to find a rhythm after a two-month absence. With his next start projected to be against either Milwaukee or Philadelphia -- the other two National League division leaders besides the Dodgers -- fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach with Miller in the short term. • Christian Yelich collects three hits in victory
Christian Yelich went 3-for-5 with a double as the Brewers eked out a one-run victory over the Rockies on Tuesday night at Coors Field.

Advice: Yelich smacked a one-out double off of Ryan Feltner in the third inning, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. He then singled in the fifth inning but was picked off of first base. Yelich also singled during the team’s two-run rally in the ninth inning. With his three-hit attack, the 32-year-old outfielder is now hitting .329/.403/.500 with eight homers, 36 RBI and 19 swipes on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Austin Riley homers again in loss to Giants
Austin Riley went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: Riley got the scoring started for the Braves in the second inning when he took Hayden Birdsong 415 feet to left for a solo homer. The home run was Riley’s 10th blast of the season and his third in his last 10 games. The veteran third baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season after three straight 30-plus homer seasons but has now hit safely in six of his last eight games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:24 pm
    • Michal Kopech takes loss against Guardians
Michael Kopech allowed one run on one hit in 1/3 of an inning in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Kopech entered the ninth in a tie game and allowed a lead-off single to Andres Gimenez. Gimenez would later move over on a groundout and then a wild pitch allowed him to advance to third where he was driven in by a sac fly off the bat of Bo Naylor. Kopech had allowed just one run in his last six innings and wasn’t particularly bad here, but the wild pitch highlights some of the inconsistency that he brings at the end of games. • J.D. Martinez scratched Tuesday with ankle soreness
J.D. Martinez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left ankle soreness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary move here by the Mets as they don’t want to take any chances with Brandon Nimmo (head) already sitting out due to injury. The 36-year-old veteran slugger will presumably be available to pinch-hit, if needed, during Tuesday’s contest against the Nationals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:09 pm

    • Scratched with ankle soreness
Martinez was scratched from the Mets' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Washington due to left ankle soreness, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The severity of Martinez's injury isn't immediately apparent, but it's enough of a nuisance to keep him from playing Tuesday. Luis Torrens will step into the lineup as New York's designated hitter and bat sixth while Martinez rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:00 pm

    • Slugs go-ahead homer in extras
Martinez went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks in Monday's 9-7 win against the Nationals.

Advice: The New York designated hitter blasted a titanic 420-foot homer off Hunter Harvey in the 10th inning to break the tie. The round tripper was a welcome sight for Martinez, as he entered this contest in a bit of a cold spell, slashing .211/.333/.342 across 47 plate appearances over his previous 10 games with just one homer. The veteran power hitter now sports a .278 average with 10 home runs, 37 RBI and 22 runs scored in 209 at-bats overall. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:07 pm
