• CJ Abrams homers, doubles to lead Nationals
CJ Abrams collected his fourth homer and his third double in the Nationals’ 6-4 defeat of the Dodgers on Monday.

Advice: It was reasonable to question whether Abrams would improve on last year’s total of 18 homers or perhaps regress there some, given his modest exit velocity numbers, but he’s hitting the ball harder this year and getting results. OBP still might be a question going forward, but he figures to remain very valuable for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

  • Mitchell Parker defeats Dodgers in MLB debut
Mitchell Parker beat the Dodgers in his MLB debut Monday, throwing five innings of two-run ball and striking out four.

Advice: Parker didn’t dominate with his six missed swings on the night, but he was pretty impressive in walking none against a high-powered lineup. He gave up nine hard-hit balls, but they weren’t the kind of hard-hit balls that turn into hits; just two had xBAs over .500. We wouldn’t say there’s mixed-league potential here, but he looks like he’ll be able to hold his own if the Nationals stick with him. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

  • Kyle Finnegan notches sixth save versus Dodgers
Kyle Finnegan was perfect in the ninth against the Dodgers on Monday, picking up his sixth save in the process.

Advice: Hunter Harvey has looked better than Finnegan for the most part this season, but he gave up a run in 1 1/3 innings tonight. Then again, he did face better competition than Finnegan, who was up against Gavin Lux and Taylor Trammell before getting Mookie Betts to ground out to end the game. Finnegan is tied for the MLB lead with six saves in seven chances. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago
  • Tyler Glasnow surrenders six runs in defeat
Tyler Glasnow suffered his first loss after giving up six runs in five innings Monday against the Nationals.

Advice: Glasnow wasn’t at his best tonight, but he was still keeping it together until Luis García Jr. hit a three-run homer in the fifth. At this point, we assume Glasnow just doesn’t like being shown on MASN; he’s given up six earned runs on five occasions since 2019, with two of those coming against the Nationals and two coming versus the Orioles. • Notches fifth save
Helsley earned a save against the Athletics on Monday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: Helsley had no trouble slamming the door on Oakland in the bottom of the ninth frame, retiring the side on just 10 pitches, four of which were swinging strikes. After blowing his first save chance of the campaign against the Dodgers on March 30, the right-hander has been successful on each of his subsequent six attempts, and he's held the opponent scoreless in seven of his past eight outings. On the season, Helsley has an impressive 11:1 K:BB over nine innings. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago
  • Tosses six scoreless frames Monday
Gray (2-0) earned the victory over Oakland on Monday, pitching six scoreless innings during which he allowed four hits and no walks while striking out six batters.

Advice: Gray needed just 72 pitches (50 of which were strikes) to get through six frames but wasn't allowed to go deeper since he's still getting fully ramped up. After opening the campaign on the injured list due to a hamstring injury, the veteran hurler has dominated in his first two starts, pitching 11 scoreless frames while racking up an 11:0 K:BB. Gray has won both of those outings, getting off to a promising beginning in his quest for his first double-digit win season since 2019. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

  • George Kirby limits Reds to two runs in victory
George Kirby held the Reds to two runs over six innings in the Mariners’ 9-3 victory Monday.

Advice: Kirby struck out six and walked none. He walked two of the first three batters he faced against the Red Sox in his season debut on March 29, but he’s since faced 96 batters without issuing a single free pass. His ERA is still hideous at 6.64, but it’ll surely keep coming down. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Frankie Montas gives up five runs in defeat
Frankie Montas was charged with five runs in two-plus innings against the Mariners on Monday.

Advice: Jorge Polanco and Mitch Haniger homered off him. Montas averaged just 92.6 mph with his fastball tonight, which seems concerning. He averaged 95.4, 93.7 and 94.3 in his first three starts of the year, and he was working on five days’ rest tonight. Montas came into the game 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA, but we don’t entirely trust him even at full strength and now it doesn’t look like he is at full strength. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Nick Martinez goes four innings in relief
Nick Martinez pitched four innings of one-run ball in relief Monday against the Mariners.

Advice: It was his first appearance since his last start on Apr. 6. He was due to start again last Thursday, but that game was postponed, and the Reds chose to bypass him afterwards. Martinez was hoping to avoid the bullpen when he signed with Cincinnati in the offseason, but it looks like the Reds will go with their younger starters for now. Odds are that they’ll need Martinez back in the rotation at some point. In the meantime, he’ll be a threat for wins in middle relief. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago
