    • Plays catch Saturday
Garcia (elbow) began playing catch Saturday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Garcia took the first step in his recovery Saturday after landing on the injured list June 17 due to right elbow ulnar neuritis. A short stint on the IL would benefit the Blue Jays, especially with Jordan Romano (elbow) having his throwing program halted. Prior to his injury, Garcia held a 2.57 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB over 28 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:57 am

    • Out of lineup Sunday
Raleigh is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Raleigh will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 1-for-8 with one RBI over the first two games of the series. Mitch Garver will start behind home plate and bat seventh against Miami right-hander Kyle Tyler. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:35 am
    • Yimi García (elbow) resumes throwing on Saturday
Yimi García (elbow) resumed throwing on Saturday.

Advice: With Jordan Romano’s throwing program shut down earlier this week due to renewed elbow soreness, it’s imperative that Toronto get García back as quickly as possible, especially if they’re going to stay in the playoff race leading up to the trade deadline. It’ll be Chad Green continuing to close for the Blue Jays, but it doesn’t seem like García is more than a few weeks, if that, away from making it back. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:34 am

    • Reinstated off IL, starting Sunday
The White Sox reinstated Jimenez (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Advice: Jimenez will serve as the designated hitter and bat third for the White Sox Sunday's series finale against the Tigers. The 27-year-old was placed on the IL on May 22 due to a left hamstring strain but was cleared to begin a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on June 13. After going 8-for-18 with one double, one home run and five RBI over his six games, Jimenez has now been cleared to rejoin the big club. He should settle back in right away as the White Sox's everyday designated hitter, likely pushing Gavin Sheets into a reserve role as a result. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:27 am

    • White Sox activate Eloy Jiménez for Sunday return
White Sox activated OF Eloy Jiménez from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Jiménez returns to Chicago’s lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Tigers following a nearly five-week absence recovering from a left hamstring strain. The oft-injured 27-year-old slugger has been snakebitten this physical ailments this season and has struggled to a pedestrian .668 OPS with five homers and three steals in 36 contests. • Swipes rare bag
Lowe went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: The first baseman remains stuck in a 32-game power drought -- he launched his last home run May 14 -- but Lowe found a way to contribute. The steal was his second of the season, and while he did pilfer a career-high eight bags in 2021, he's managed only five stolen bases in 373 games since then. Lowe is slashing .214/.294/.262 during his homerless streak with just five doubles, nine RBI and nine runs. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:29 am
    • Best game of season
McCormick went 3-for-3 with a pair of solo home runs, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Orioles.

Advice: McCormick got a rare start versus a right-hander -- his second in the last three games -- and he made it count by taking Corbin Burnes deep in the fifth inning. All three of McCormick's homers this year have come within his last five games, and he's added six RBI and six runs scored in that span. Overall, he's posted a mediocre .225/.286/.358 slash line with 15 RBI, 15 runs scored and three stolen bases across 133 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:03 pm
    • Busy day in loss
Chapman went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 9-4 loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Chapman singled, stole second and scored in the first inning, and then walked and scored again in the third. He later added another single in the eighth. This was Chapman's first multi-hit effort since June 4, but it's encouraging to see him active on the bases considering he missed two games to a hamstring injury June 9 and 10. On the season, the third baseman is hitting .232 with eight home runs, 30 RBI, 47 runs scored and a career-high six stolen bases in 285 at-bats. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:11 pm

    • Chas McCormick homers twice in win over Orioles
Chas McCormick homered twice to help the Astros to a 5-1 win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: McCormick also singled and scored three times in the contest. His last homer may have earned the ire of those who roster Josh Hader, as it made it a 5-1 game and took away a save chance for Hader. McCormick has dealt with injuries, but more games like this will (obviously) give him a good chance of getting more playing time going forward. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:30 pm
