    • Tallies third homer
Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Reds.

Advice: Hayes tallied the Pirates' only run with a solo home run in the seventh inning -- his third of the season. The performance also extended his hitting streak to a modest five games, though he has no multi-hit performances in that span to go along with only two RBI and two runs scored. Hayes has a disappointing .084 ISO across 215 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:59 pm

    • Secures save Tuesday
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Miller took a blown save in his last outing, though it was because he allowed an inherited runner to score. He's struggled a bit lately, allowing nine runs (six earned) with a 16:7 K:BB across 12.1 innings over his last 10 appearances. He's still performing quite well in the closer role for the Athletics, pitching to a 2.20 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 57:12 K:BB over 32.2 innings while going 13-for-15 in save chances this year. • Mason Miller perfect in ninth for 13th save
Mason Miller recorded his 13th save with a scoreless ninth against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller had it easy tonight, getting one strikeout and a pair of routine flies. He’s had some hiccups of late, but he remains about as good of a bet as any reliever from an ERA and strikeout perspective. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:55 pm

    • Four hits in walk-off win
Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: Castellanos capped Philadelphia's comeback victory in the bottom of the ninth inning, poking a ground-rule double down the right-field line, his second double and fourth hit of the game, to drive in Alec Bohm as the winning run. Castellanos is now 6-for-9 with four doubles in his last two games after going 0-for-14 in his previous three contests. Overall, he's slashing .219/.275/.371 on the year with nine homers, 31 RBI and 37 runs scored across 306 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:41 pm

    • Quality start in no-decision
Webb did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Cubs, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Webb collected his third consecutive quality start and 12th of the season with a solid 101-pitch outing. The San Francisco ace's only blemish of the game came in the second inning when he allowed a 401-foot two-run home run to Dansby Swanson. With this outing, Webb pushed his ERA down to 2.99 over 99.1 innings this year. He'll look to eclipse the 100-inning threshold for the fourth consecutive season in his next start, currently slated come against the Cardinals on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:09 pm
    • Framber Valdez surrenders two runs in loss
Framber Valdez pitched six innings of two-run ball Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Valdez allowed just two hits, but he walked five batters, which fueled the rallies in the third and fifth innings. Valdez worked out of big jams to limit the White Sox to single runs both innings, but the Astros offense did nothing to back him tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:04 pm
    • Struggles with control in loss
Valdez (5-5) took the loss Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on two hits and five walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The Houston southpaw toiled against a weak White Sox team that entered the evening collectively batting .220 with a 7.1 percent walk rate -- both qualifying as the second-worst marks in the majors. The five walks Valdez issued were the most since his first start this season against the Yankees on March 28, when he issued six free passes. The 30-year-old now sports a 3.91 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:24 K:BB over 73.2 innings. Valdez faces a difficult test in his next scheduled outing, slated to come against Baltimore at home this weekend. • Castellanos has big game-winning hit
Nick Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a game-winning double in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Castellanos came to the plate in a tie game in the ninth inning and blooped in a 78 mph double just beyond a sliding Fernando Tatis Jr. in right field. It was a much-needed big game for the veteran, who was hitting .203 in 14 games in June and is now hitting just .219 overall on the season. Castellanos is making more contact and striking out less this season, but he’s making less authoritative contact and really struggling to hit anything other than fastballs with a .134 AVG and .208 wOBA against off-speed pitches. He’ll continue to play regularly and hit in the middle of the Phillies’ lineup, but there aren’t many signs of a full-on bounceback here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:54 pm

    • Bassitt allows two earned runs in loss to Red Sox
Chris Bassitt allowed two earned runs over six innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Despite allowing nine baserunners on the evening, Bassitt managed to hold the Red Sox to just two earned runs, and pitched out of a jam with runners on to close out the sixth inning. The veteran righty continues to be a solid option in the middle of the Jays’ rotation, and has allowed just four earned runs over 18 innings in the month of June. Bassitt will get another crack at the Red Sox in his next start on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
