      Advice: Alvarez has homered in back-to-back games to open up July, bringing his season total to 18. The 27-year-old featured in the Astros' five-run fifth inning, plating Cesar Salazar and Jose Altuve on a three-run shot off Jose Berrios with two outs.       Sewald (0-1) took the loss and a blown save Tuesday versus the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out two in two-thirds of an inning.

      Advice: Sewald's 15.2-inning scoreless streak came to an end, and he also took his first blown save of the year. He labored in the ninth inning and ended up giving up a game-tying double to Freddie Freeman, who then scored on Teoscar Hernandez's walk-off single. Sewald is now 11-for-12 in save chances while sporting a 1.56 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 17.1 innings.       Paul Sewald suffered his first blown save of the season on Tuesday night, allowing two runs on three hits over 2/3 innings against the Dodgers.

      Advice: The 34-year-old stopper was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He started off the inning by striking out Gavin Lux and Shohei Ohtani, but things got interesting as Will Smith smacked a two-out double on the first pitch that he saw, putting the tying run in scoring position. Freddie Freeman then fell behind 0-2 before lining a game-tying RBI double into right field. Teoscar Hernandez followed with a walk-off RBI single that ended it. Even with this setback, Sewald still holds a terrific 1.56 ERA and 0.63 WHIP over 17 1/3 innings on the season while converting 11 of his first 12 save opportunities.       Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

      Nathaniel Lowe went 2-for-4 with four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Padres.

      Advice: Lowe put the Rangers on the board in the bottom of the first inning when he sent a two-run homer into the stands off Padres starter Dylan Cease. It was just Lowe’s fifth homer of the season, but the veteran first baseman has now hit safely in three straight games while driving in six runs and homering twice over that span.       Advice: Harris is two-and-a-half weeks removed from suffering a Grade 2 left hamstring strain. There is no timetable yet for his return to Atlanta's active roster, but at this point it seems likely that he'll be held out until after the All-Star break.
