• Clubs solo homer
Lee went 1-for-2 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Lee reached safely in two of his three plate appearances Wednesday, tagging Joe Ryan for a solo home run in the third and being walked on in the fifth inning. He stole second after being walked on, marking his first-career big-league steal. After batting .077 in 2023 and .160 in 2022, Lee is off to a much better start to 2024, slashing .256/.310/.462 with five RBI and five runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 8:54 pm

  • Four hits, two homers in win
Wong went 4-for-4 with a pair of homers and three total RBI in Wednesday's 8-0 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: It's the second two-homer game of Wong's career while his four hits matched a personal best. The 27-year-old catcher has been on fire lately, going 13-for-31 with four home runs in his last eight games while taking over the primary catching job in Boston. Wong's now slashing a solid .320/.327/.520 with three home runs (six shy of a career high), eight RBI and five runs scored across 51 plate appearances to open the campaign. • Elias Díaz slugs solo homer in loss to Padres
Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Padres.

Advice: After knocking a base hit in the fourth inning, Díaz hit his second home run of the season with a solo shot in the eighth. He got some help on this one as his deep fly ball bounced off the glove of Jackson Merrill and over the outfield wall. It counts all the same. The 33-year-old backstop is hitting .312/.357/.429 with the two homers and 11 RBI across 84 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 8:11 pm

  • Korey Lee goes yard in loss to Twins
Korey Lee went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, a walk, and a stolen base on Wednesday against the Twins.

Advice: Lee took Joe Ryan deep in the third inning for a solo blast, then drew a walk in the fifth. He stole second on a double steal with Braden Shewmake stealing home to score a run. It was the second homer and first steal for the 25-year-old backstop. He’s slashing a solid .256/.310/.462 across 42 plate appearances as he splits time with Martín Maldonado. • Connor Wong goes 4-for-4, homers twice
Connor Wong finished 4-for-4 with two homers and three RBI as the Red Sox shut out the Guardians 8-0 on Wednesday.

Advice: Wong already had nice numbers coming into this one, but Statcast thought he was one of the league’s biggest overachievers. Tonight’s performance was legit, though; his homers traveled 416 and 397 feet, and one of his two singles left the bat at 107.7 mph. He’s now batting .370/.386/.660, which is pretty good for a guy who was taking a backseat to Reese McGuire two weeks ago. We still wouldn’t look at him as a solution in one-catcher mixed leagues. • Resumes catching work
Murphy (oblique) was able to catch bullpen sessions Tuesday and Wednesday but has yet to resume swinging a bat, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Murphy's ability to throw at full strength while donning his full catching equipment represents a positive step forward in his recovery from a Grade 1 left oblique strain, but until he starts swinging the bat again, his return from the 10-day injured list shouldn't be viewed as imminent. The backstop has been on the shelf since March 30 with the injury. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 pm

  • William Contreras leads Brewers past Pirates
William Contreras went 3-for-4 with a walk, run scored and an RBI on Wednesday night, leading the Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

Advice: Contreras hit out of the leadoff spot for the Brewers on Wednesday and reached base in four of his five plate appearances. He opened the scoring in the game with an RBI single off of Luis Ortiz in the third inning, then trotted home as Blake Perkins worked a bases-loaded walk. With his three-hit attack, the 26-year-old backstop is slashing a sizzling .359/.439/.543 with four homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored and a stolen base through his first 23 games. • Hits bench Wednesday
Amaya is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Though he'll give way to Yan Gomes behind the dish Wednesday, Amaya seems to have edged ahead of the veteran on the depth chart at catcher. Amaya started in four of the previous five games and owns a 302-point edge in OPS over Gomes for the season (.772 to .470). Rotowire.com Today, 3:28 pm

  • Falls into timeshare
Maldonado is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Maldonado has fallen into a timeshare behind the dish with Korey Lee, with both backstops having now made four starts apiece over the past eight games. Even in AL-only leagues, Maldonado won't retain much fantasy value while he's hitting .048 on the season and not even playing on a regular basis. Rotowire.com Today, 3:09 pm
