    • Contributes RBI, steal in loss
Polanco went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Polanco came through with a clutch knock against his former team in the seventh inning, plating Luke Raley to knot the score at 3-3. The veteran infielder, who's now hit safely in four straight, also added his second steal of the campaign, but he couldn't capitalize on another RBI opportunity in the ninth when he left the bases loaded on a game-ending flyout. • Getting start Monday sans Jansen
Kirk will start at catcher and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Kirk should be in store for at least two starts in the four-game series with the Astros while top backstop Danny Jansen likely misses the maximum three games after being placed on the paternity list Monday. Even though Jansen remains atop the depth chart, Kirk had been making a case for more playing time by going 4-for-12 with two doubles, two RBI and a run over his last three starts. • Rosenthal: Tanner Scott “is a popular name”
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal said “Tanner Scott is a popular name on the trade market” and “the Marlins are virtually certain to trade” him at the deadline.

Advice: Rosenthal reported that “the Miami Marlins want a lot for their left-handed closer,” but they do expect to get it; however, it’s expected that Scott will not take over a closer’s role if he were traded to a contender. His strikeout-to-walk rate is at a career-low level and that command may keep him in a high-leverage shared role, facing mainly left-handed hitters. Rosenthal mentioned the Yankees, Orioles, and Phillies as contending teams that are expressing interest in adding Scott to their bullpen mix. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 am
    • Productive finish to month
Lowe went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Lowe was part of the Rangers' offensive explosion Sunday and finished the month on an upswing. He went 8-for-21 (.381) with a double, two home runs, eight RBI and three additional runs scored over the final five games of June. Rotowire.com Today, 5:26 am

    • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm

    • Ramirez drives in run in loss to Royals Sunday
Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Ramirez hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to make it 6-1 Royals and scored on Josh Naylor’s RBI single to give us the final score of 6-2. Ramirez continues his ridiculous RBI pace as he now has 76 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:17 pm

    • Kevin Gausman loses, struggles again
Kevin Gausman allowed seven runs in just 4 1/3 innings on Sunday against the Yankees. He walked five and struck out seven in a loss.

Advice: Gausman just hasn’t been right all year. Aaron Judge crushed a first-inning fastball that wasn’t up-and-in enough and the Yankees kept traffic on the bases seemingly every inning. His tried and true game plan of fastballs and splitters does not have the same potency it used to as his fastball velocity has dipped and hitters don’t chase or whiff on that splitter like they once did. • Launches 12th homer
Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a strikeout in Sunday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Cruz hit a 452-foot missile off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning to give the Pirates a lead they wouldn't relinquish. It was the third-longest homer of his career, and it had an exit velocity of 117.3 MPH, which is also the third-hardest of his career. There have been five home runs with exit velocities of 117 or more this season, and Cruz has two of them. The 25-year-old has three long balls over his last seven games, and he's up to 12 homers, 36 RBI, six steals and 36 runs for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:56 am

    • Oneil Cruz crushes two-run homer in win over ATL
Oneil Cruz hit a two-run homer Sunday in a 4-2 victory for the Pirates over Atlanta.

Advice: Cruz also singled and walked. The 25-year-old absolutely obliterated a 452-foot shot off Spencer Schwellenbach to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with Jack Suwinski on base at that time. Cruz continues to frustrate in what is essentially his first full season of MLB action, but games like this one remind that there are very few players in the sport who have as much talent.
