      Advice: Arozarena extended his hitting streak to a modest five games with the performance. He's been very productive in that span, swatting two homers while also swiping two bags, scoring five runs and driving in five.       Anderson (6-7) allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Brewers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Anderson held an opponent to one run for the sixth time in his last seven starts, but a lack of run support from the Angels stuck him with another loss. In that seven-start span, he's walked at least three batters four times and hasn't struck out more than five batters in any outing. The southpaw is at a 2.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 63:41 K:BB through 94.1 innings through 15 starts this year. Anderson is projected to make his next start at home versus the Athletics.       Tyler Anderson held the Brewers to one run with five strikeouts over seven innings in a loss on Wednesday.

      Advice: Anderson would take a tough-luck loss in this one as the Angels could get him no run support against Freddy Peralta. He allowed just one run on a sacrifice fly in the first inning before settling in for six more scoreless frames, striking out five. The 34-year-old left-hander will take a 2.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 63/41 K/BB ratio across 94 1/3 innings into a start against the Athletics in Anaheim on Wednesday.       Cole did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Orioles, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk with five strikeouts over four innings.

      Advice: Cole surrendered a run on an RBI double by Ryan O'Hearn in the first inning then settled in over the next three. He allowed a single to Cedric Mullins to open the fifth and was pulled after throwing 62 pitches, but Mullins scored on a home run surrendered by Yankees reliever Ron Marinaccio. Cole maxed out at 68 pitches during his minor-league rehab, so the Yankees appear to be easing him into his return. He touched 97 mph on his fastball and generated six swinging strikes in a solid season debut and will look to build up his workload early next week against the Mets.       Gerrit Cole lasted for four-plus innings in his return to the Yankees on Wednesday against the Orioles. He struck out five, walked one, and allowed two earned runs in a loss.

      Advice: Cole was not his sharpest, understandably, in this one. The Orioles are a tough matchup and they made lots of loud contact as Cole struggled with command, especially with his knuckle curve.     • Randy Arozarena swipes two bases as Rays top Twins
      Randy Arozarena singled, doubled, walked, was hit by a pitch, scored a run and stole a pair of bases on Wednesday night, leading the Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Twins in 10 innings.

      Advice: After striking out in his first at-bat on the night, Arozarena reached base in each of his final four plate appearances. He led off the fourth inning with a double, but the Rays couldn’t cash him in. He then singled and swiped second base with two outs in the sixth inning, but was left stranded there. He then led off the eighth inning with a walk but was stranded at third base. Arozarena was plunked leading off the 10th inning, he swiped second base and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by Royce Lewis.     • Jesse Winker powers Nationals past Diamondbacks
      Jesse Winker slugged a go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning, powering the Nationals to a 3-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday afternoon in Washington D.C.

      Advice: Winker’s game-changing blast came off of Diamondbacks’ right-hander Brandon Pfaadt with two outs in the sixth inning. He got an 0-1 fastball and crushed a 399-foot (101.8 mph EV) two-run shot that plated Lane Thomas as well, giving the Nationals a 2-1 edge. The 30-year-old outfielder finished the day 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now hitting a respectable .271/.383/.410 with seven homers, 33 RBI and a career-high 11 stolen bases on the season.       The Yankees reinstated Cole (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

      Advice: Cole has been on the injured list all season due to nerve irritation in his right elbow, but he will now officially return to the Yankees' rotation and make his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles. The 33-year-old righty was dominant during his three rehab starts, posting a minuscule 0.73 ERA while striking out 19 batters and walking none in 12.1 innings. However, he only built up to 68 pitches during his time in the minors, so he will likely be working under some sort of restriction during his return to a big-league mound.       Advice: The 33-year-old hurler is finally ready to make his highly anticipated 2024 season debut against the Orioles on Wednesday.
