      Castillo (4-6) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: Castillo dealt with traffic for most of his outing, but he ultimately held New York to a pair of solo home runs. The loss snapped a stretch of seven straight quality starts for Castillo -- he'd posted a 2.01 ERA in that span.       Matt Chapman hit a three-run homer Thursday to help the Giants to a win over the Pirates.

      Advice: Chapman remains hot, and his three-run blast off Hunter Stratton got San Francisco back in the game; turning a 6-2 deficit into a 6-5 game. The 31-year-old has homered eight times, and three of those blasts have come in his last three games.       Luis Castillo went five innings while surrendering two runs in a loss to the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: Castillo allowed seven hits with three walks, and he struck out three. There was significant traffic throughout the outing, but the right-hander’s only runs allowed came on solo homers by Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. This makes back-to-back starts where Castillo hasn’t had his best stuff, but he was able to battle to hold powerful lineups in the Yankees and Orioles in check.       King (4-4) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 7-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out six.

      Advice: The right-hander delivered his fifth quality start of the year, and his third in four May outings, on 92 pitches (62 strikes). King has had trouble maintaining consistency as he adjusts to being a full-time starting pitcher, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB through 25 innings this month is encouraging.       Advice: Marte singled in his first at-bat to extend his hitting streak to 23 games and later added a solo homer to lead off the eighth, giving the Diamondbacks a 5-0 lead.       Advice: Marte came into this one riding a 20-game hitting streak. He extended it to 21 games right away with a base hit in the first inning.
